Sudden proposal writing

Sudden proposal for preparing a proposal

Writing proposals is not part of my assigned duties.

Suddenly, they asked me to write a proposal.

It was just before I finished work yesterday, and then they asked if I finished everything this morning.

Then they told me to submit it again by tomorrow.

Am I just idling? This isn't even my usual work, and without any suggestion, you're telling me to write a proposal. I should ask back, but you'll just tell me to think about it, and I already have the answer in mind, of course.
