Botox Treatment: Resistance vs. Cost-effectiveness, Which Is the Right Choice?
Hello, I am a beginner considering a Botox procedure.
After hearing from those around me that once you start, you have to manage it for the rest of your life as your muscles return, I realized that I need to go beyond mere cosmetic purposes and establish a long-term plan with proper knowledge, so I am leaving this question.
1. Correlation between procedure cycle and muscle condition
I heard that once you start getting hit, you have to keep getting hit whenever your muscles recover.
Frequency Setting: I am wondering if it is generally better to get the injection before the muscles have fully recovered, or if holding out as long as possible before getting it is more beneficial for preventing tolerance.
Compulsive Management: I am curious to hear your know-how on whether you have your own criteria for determining the treatment cycle, rather than simply getting punctures because others say "it is time for it."
2. What is the rational choice between domestic and foreign products, and between durability and cost?
After consulting with them, I found that there is quite a price difference between domestic and imported Botox. Although people commonly say the effects are similar, my biggest concern is resistance.
Technological Difference: It is said that the purification technology of recent domestic products has also improved. Is the probability of developing resistance significantly higher compared to foreign products when undergoing repeated procedures over the long term (5 to 10 years or more)?
Risk of developing resistance: I have heard that if resistance develops, the product will not be effective even for therapeutic purposes (such as treating a disease) later on. Would it be more beneficial in the long run to choose a high-priced product, even if it costs more upfront?
3. Honest advice from those with actual experience
Between those who use cost-effective domestic products for short, frequent treatments, and those who use foreign products for longer treatments with less resistance, even if it costs more, which group has a higher level of satisfaction?
If you could go back to the time of your first treatment, which product would you choose?
