Are there any things I absolutely need to check at the dermatology clinic before getting laser treatment for blemishes?

I am looking for a dermatology clinic to get laser treatment for blemishes for the first time. Since there are so many clinics and types of treatments available, I am concerned whether it is okay to make a decision based solely on price comparison.

To me, they just look like brown blemishes, but I've read online that they could be melasma or other pigmentation disorders, so I think it's important to confirm exactly what type of pigmentation it is before the procedure. Besides my skin condition and the type of blemish, are there any other specific questions I should ask during the consultation?

For example, I am wondering if it is advisable to check in advance what type of laser is used, why the procedure is suitable for my skin, and what the expected recovery process is. I am also considering whether it would be better to consult with several clinics before making a decision.
