Kim Myung-ae Dermatology in Seocho-gu, Seoul Recommended as the Best Clinic for Acne Inflammation Injections![1]
Here are my personal top 3 reviews of dermatology clinics in Gangnam, Seoul, that I found effective for acne inflammation injections. My skin isn't inherently acne-prone, but I am the type who gets really big, hard, pustular pimples every now and then. Like what people commonly call a "giant pimple," it festers inside, hurts to the touch, and doesn't go away easily even after time passes. It was incredibly stressful, especially when those kinds of pimples popped up right before an important appointment or schedule. At first, I tried to manage it at home by applying ointment or spot treatments, but these hard, inflammatory pimples often didn't go away on their own. So, in the end, I ended up getting an anti-inflammatory injection after extraction at a dermatology clinic. After visiting several places, I found that even for the same injection, there was quite a significant difference between hospitals. The prices and treatment methods are all different, so perhaps that's why the effects vary as well! So, based on my personal opinion, I have selected three dermatology clinics in Gangnam that were effective. 3rd Place Gangnam Doctors Dermatology Clinic I had high expectations after seeing the pleasant facilities and neat interior... but it took a little while for the inflammation to completely subside after getting the injection here. I visited because of the acne on my forehead. This is the state before getting hit. This photo shows the patient after receiving an anti-inflammatory injection. It was a bit big, but... the inflammation didn't go down even after getting the injection. Eventually, I visited again for the second time and received an additional injection. It was a bit disappointing that it wasn't dealt with immediately. Since anti-inflammatory injections are not covered by insurance, the cost is a burden even for just one shot, but because I got them twice, the expense turned out to be quite a bit higher than I expected. Also, the doctor squeezed it out directly by hand, and it was quite painful. Of course, since it was done hygienically at the hospital, it is different from handling it at home, but the irritation was so intense that while getting it done, I momentarily wondered, "If it's going to be like this, how is this any different from me squeezing it out at home?" Still, after getting two injections, it subsided cleanly and there was almost no discoloration. There were pros and cons. 2nd Place Gangnam Nine Dermatology Clinic I got an injection for my chin acne here. Fortunately, at Nine Dermatology, my acne subsided after receiving just one anti-inflammatory injection! The recovery speed was relatively fast, and the bulging swelling went down immediately. However, there was one drawback, The inflammation went away quickly, but the discoloration lasted quite a while afterward. It was red right after I got the anti-inflammatory injection, and once it subsided somewhat, the brown discoloration lasted longer than I expected. This was also a dermatology clinic with clear pros and cons. The advantage was that inflammation subsided quickly with just one injection, and the recovery speed was also relatively fast, but The downside was that although the discoloration marks have disappeared now, at the time they lasted so long that I was worried they wouldn't go away. The extraction method was the same as at the third-ranked hospital, Doctors, where they manually extracted the tissue. Still, it was decent for urgently treating inflammation. No. 1 Seocho Kim Myung-ae Dermatology Clinic The place I was most satisfied with was Kim Myung-ae Dermatology! True to its name, this is a dermatology clinic with a board-certified dermatologist with 40 years of experience. It was a hospital that gave off a professional vibe from the outside; although the exterior is old, the interior is clean. Before getting the injection. The size was average, but that chin acne had been there for about a month, and the inside was very hard. First of all, it really subsided quickly after I got the anti-inflammatory injection here. Usually, it takes a day or two to see results, but here, the acne areas flattened out immediately after the injection! And what I was most satisfied with was the extrusion method. At other hospitals, the doctor would squeeze it out by hand, but here, they used a needle to make just a tiny hole to drain the pus. So the extraction itself was barely painful, and since they didn't squeeze it by hand, there was no skin irritation, which I really liked. If you squeeze it with your hands, not only the acne area but also the surrounding skin turns extremely red. Manual extraction involves squeezing until no more pus comes out, which can be irritating, but here, it felt like they cleanly removed only the pus, so my skin was less red after the procedure and recovered quickly!! These are photos I took the day after and the day after getting the injection. Maybe because I didn't squeeze it out manually, it healed completely in just two days👍🏻 And another difference from the two hospitals mentioned above is that there was no separate prescription for oral medication. I was surprised that there was no medication, but the inflammation subsided quickly even without taking any. The size of the acne and the condition of the inflammation were similar to before, but since it healed so fast without needing to take any medicine, I felt that they only provide treatment that is truly necessary. Whenever I get an anti-inflammatory injection, the discoloration usually lasts for a few days because it is an injection, but at Kim Myung-ae Dermatology, the discoloration disappeared quickly, so I was most satisfied. Of course, even at the same hospital, the results of anti-inflammatory injections can vary depending on the condition of the skin on that day, and reactions will differ from person to person. However, based on my personal experience receiving treatments at various places, the recovery speed and satisfaction levels definitely vary from clinic to clinic because the methods used—such as extraction techniques and medication prescriptions—differ. Since anti-inflammatory injections are steroids, it is not good to get them frequently. I prefer a dermatology clinic where I can be completely cured with just one treatment, so I was most satisfied with Kim Myung-ae Dermatology, and in that regard, I ranked it as number one. I would like to share some recommended clinics based on my personal experience getting syringoma treatments. Hospital Ranking: I ranked them based on my personal experience. 1. Clinic affiliated with the Gyeonggi-Incheon Branch of the Korea Leprosy Welfare Association This is a place I have been visiting repeatedly. The prices were neither cheap nor expensive. Most of the staff are friendly and nice. The problem is that it gets just too crowded. So even if you go in advance to make a reservation, you can only get an appointment about a month later. One downside is that the skilled practitioners are very popular. Also, the staff varies each time I visit, and sometimes the nurses assisting with the procedure are rough and unfriendly. The scar seems to vary depending on the doctor. 2. Suwon Me & Me Clinic Located near Suwon Station, it is conveniently accessible, and they provide excellent care for problematic skin conditions in addition to cosmetic treatments! The staff are friendly, and the doctor is incredibly kind! Rather than just paying for the syringoma treatment, many people opt for the toning set, which is great for use after laser treatment. However, the front desk staff can be unfriendly at times ㅠㅠ Also, if it gets too crowded, you might have to sit in the waiting room with numbing cream applied, which I really dislike; it's embarrassing ㅠㅠ It happens very rarely, and they won't do it if you refuse, so please keep that in mind when planning your visit. Lee Joo-bong Dermatology Clinic It was a place where I only had very bad memories; the staff were generally very unfriendly. Even when I was receiving laser treatment, a junior doctor came in without my consent and treated me as if he were giving me a lesson. The doctor and nurse were truly unfriendly, and the experience was so unpleasant that it felt like being in a monkey zoo. I felt reassured because they adjusted the intensity considering my sensitive skin and kept checking periodically to see if I was uncomfortable during the laser and extraction treatments. My biggest worries were the pain from the extraction and my face breaking out after the procedure. It was more bearable than I expected, and thanks to the thorough soothing care, the redness subsided quickly. After visiting consistently a few times, the frequency of cystic acne breakouts decreased, and I felt like my skin texture itself became smoother. Seeing the red marks that couldn't even be covered with makeup gradually fading, I thought I should have gotten treatment sooner. The biggest factor was that the staff explained the after-treatment precautions and how to care for my skin at home in detail, so I stopped trying to fix things on my own!! 2nd Place Gangnam Oracle Dermatology Overall, the facilities here were very clean, and there was a wide variety of lasers. The extraction process was quite clean, and it was effective for inflammatory acne. I definitely felt that major skin troubles were decreasing as I managed it along with the prescribed medication. I felt that the detailed explanation regarding the skin type itself was a bit lacking. Still, I would like to recommend this as a good hospital for students or those just starting out in their careers to begin managing their health! Personally, the reason I chose CNP Dermatology as number one is that it doesn't feel like they are just performing procedures. It is because I felt the most significant factor was that it took care of my skin itself! Acne-prone skin isn't something that ends immediately with just one treatment. I needed to consider lifestyle habits and the skin barrier as well, and I trusted you because you explained those aspects as well. In the past, I used to get stressed every time I looked in the mirror, and I felt self-conscious about meeting people because of my skin. I'm most satisfied now that my makeup applies much better and I have fewer days feeling down because of my skin haha. I plan to monitor the progress in a month and proceed with a touch-up if necessary.

Also, the fact that there are always a lot of patients gave me confidence. I felt that they provide excellent medical care. I liked that they provided a thorough consultation and explained various corrective procedures that are suitable. Second place was Yonsei D&C Dental Clinic. I liked that the facilities were clean, but it was a shame that it didn't seem to specialize in orthodontics. Transparent Plus Dental Clinic was in third place. It's good because they specialize in orthodontics, but the wait is a bit long, so I thought it would be inconvenient to visit frequently, so I decided against it. So, I think it was good to visit frequently because Guoldam Dental Hospital provides thorough and fast treatment. Also, since treatments vary by floor in addition to orthodontics, I thought it was good that I could receive specialized treatment for a variety of conditions, not just orthodontics.
