I think the best thing you can do easily at home is using a foam roller.
I've tried using massage balls or other things, but massage balls are a bit painful and difficult.
I recommend a foam roller because I think it's the easiest for beginners to use.
It's good to loosen your leg muscles with a foam roller, and it's not too difficult to relieve tension in your back as well.
