The sclera is the white part of the eye, more precisely, the membrane that surrounds the white of the eye.
This inflammation is called scleritis.
If there is a problem with this layer, inflammation appears, which is called scleritis. In cases of mild scleritis, that is, when inflammation occurs in the central part of the eye, it can often recover with simple eye drops, and sometimes it heals on its own.
I also frequently experience eye irritation in my daily life... I thought it was due to dry eye syndrome.
However... I started to think that it might not be the case.
It could be scleritis.
Looking at the characteristic symptoms of scleritis
Externally, redness is characteristic.
Of course, most people have experienced redness, and this kind of redness is usually caused by fatigue or a decline in condition. These symptoms generally disappear after rest.
However, the redness observed in scleritis is caused by inflammation and therefore needs to be treated.
And if scleritis occurs, it can lead to vision loss, so active treatment is necessary.
In particular, scleritis occurs more frequently in women over their 40s, so women should pay attention to this area and remember that instead of focusing solely on LASIK or LASEK for vision correction, they should also prioritize eye health management.
My personal opinion is that it's difficult for us to determine whether it's conjunctivitis, scleritis, or dry eye disease...
I think running to the ophthalmology department might be the right answer.
Recently, the pain and dryness in my eyes seem to have worsened compared to before.
I should also go for an eye examination.
It's the change of seasons. During this dry period, I need to take extra care of my eyes.
Living a life with uncomfortable eyes myself, I realize how happy I am when my eyes are clear and not uncomfortable.
These days, I feel it deeply.

안구건조증에 알레르기도 있어서 눈을 못뜨거나 비비거나 해서, 흰자가 막 부풀어오르는 경우도 많은데, 안약 넣을게 아니라 병원도 가봐야겠네요.공막염은 처음들어봤어요. 조심해야겠네요.ㅠㅠ
