아이가 아파서 얼마나 놀라시고 걱정되고 속상하셨어요 아이도 어머니도 모두 너무 고생하셨네요 빠른 쾌유하셨길 바래요
I visited Welkids Pediatrics in Sejong City for early-stage pediatric pneumonia.
My son came home last Thursday and said he had a fever...
When I checked, it was 38 degrees... My child's tonsils are always swollen.
I thought, "It's starting again."
I went to my regular pediatrician and got a prescription and started taking it.
But unlike the usual two-day fever and improvement of symptoms, the temperature rose to 38 degrees once or twice for several days.
I even got a call from school saying I was in a fever...
So, I finally got tested for the flu on the third day, but it wasn't the flu. I'm starting to take antibiotics too...
If your cough gets worse and you don't have a fever,
It would go over 38 degrees once in the evening or at dawn.
Then, I went back to my regular pediatrician last Tuesday and they said it wasn't yet the early stage of pneumonia.
I got another prescription for the medicine, but the next day my cough got worse... and when I coughed, it hurt all the way to my ribs.
I sent him to school because he didn't have a fever... but he got dismissed early again at school because his fever was 38 degrees...
And he was groaning and groaning ㅠㅠ
In the end, we decided to go to a bigger hospital, so last Thursday...
I went to Welkids Pediatrics last week, a week after the symptoms began.
Welkids Pediatrics is our second regular pediatric clinic.
There are 15 pediatric specialists here,
It is the largest pediatrics clinic in Sejong, with the entire third floor of the building being occupied by pediatrics.
The 5th floor is the outpatient clinic, and across from it is the pharmacy and atopic center.
The 6th floor is the health checkup center, child development center, precocious puberty and growth clinic, and the opposite is the inpatient ward.
The 7th floor is the IV ward.
There are many baby and toddler care centers in front of the pharmacy and elevator across from the outpatient clinic.
There are a lot of cars lined up to get sap.
There is a Welkids Atopy Care Center to the right of the pharmacy.
The scale of each layer is also amazing, isn't it?
Since you can see most of the medical subjects, any family raising a child in Sejong must have visited Welkids at least once.
Moreover, it is always popular because it provides treatment until night on Sundays.
My 11-year-old son started walking with a slight bowed leg when he was around 9 years old, so I decided to get him checked out before it got any worse.
I came to Welkids and spent over a year here for 2-3 months to see if my legs would grow and become bowlegs.
Whether it is enough to correct the legs, and do not kneel normally, and try not to cross your legs
They told me to keep my posture straight and continued the examination, so I was told that I could wait and see for the beginning of this year.
I won't be going for a while... I also found out that my son has flat feet while getting tested here. Haha
The photo below is of the 6th floor Development Center. This is where the Orthopedics Department and Development Center are located.
It is a separate space from the general treatment room, and here, we professionally examine the child's leg deformities and foot shape.
There is an inpatient ward like this across the street.
It's in Sejong City, but it's far from my house, so when I run there on my way home from work... there are a lot of people...
Even though I went to the hospital after work on Thursday... I heard that the flu, coronavirus, cold, pneumonia, etc. are all prevalent these days... ㅠㅠ
Fortunately, I didn't have to wait long because I made a reservation, and my turn came and I was treated about 15 minutes after arriving.
I think I need to get an IV because the fever has been going on for about a week and it's been too long.
First, they said they'd take another X-ray and test for flu, coronavirus, and adenovirus.
My son ran away four times during the flu test last week...
Maybe it was because I got it and then realized it wasn't as painful as the coronavirus PCR.
Pretending to be indifferent... The prosecutor even waited to poke his nose twice.
The examination room on the left is what you see here. It's huge.
And there are many different types of tests you can do.
Create an idea wall to help reduce the fear of exams by allowing children to draw and do things on the wall.
I made it
There are examination rooms on both sides, and in the middle of the hallway leading to the examination rooms, there is an examination room.
The examination room is closed and the system is set up so that you can enter only when you receive a notification via KakaoTalk.
Since tests for various viruses are being conducted,
I believe that it is operated in such a closed manner.
My son... didn't have the flu, coronavirus, or adenovirus.
'These teachers are so popular that reservations fill up at lightning speed.'
But the doctor at the panda room we went to is also a specialist in gastroenterology.
I heard it's popular because it explains things well.
So when I went into the examination room, the doctor said that my microbronchitis was getting worse.
You said it was in the early stages of pneumonia. You said that because it was pneumonia, the treatment would take a while...
He explains the early stages of pneumonia while showing an X-ray.
First of all, because I had a fever for so long, I was told to get an IV.
I went into the examination room earlier and had an IV drip and then went to the IV room on the 7th floor to get the IV drip.
The 7th floor IV room is a two-person room with an ondol bar and a TV so your child won't get bored.
I got the IV drip while lying down...
He told me to come back the next day to get a blood test and hear the results.
My husband took me there, but my white blood cell count wasn't good. ㅠㅠ
Still, I got a lot better after taking the prescribed medication, so I went back today to get the medication again and they reduced the antibiotic dose and told me to take it for 3 more days.
He told me to come again on Friday...
It's been a really long time since I've had a cold this long, except when I was little. ㅠㅠ
Below is the respiratory therapy room in the middle of the hallway and the nursing room for babies.
Can you see the end of the hallway?
From the end of the corridor to the end of the large building, there are more than 10 outpatient reception and treatment rooms.
The examination room and X-ray room are of a very large general hospital level.
As you enter the main gate, on the right, there is a vaccination and call center in operation.
And the corner that is most popular with children is the Welkids Terrarium~~
There are two chameleons living here~
You can be sure that your children won't get bored while waiting.
It literally feels like therapy~~? ^^
Our son is watching intently.
This is a chameleon that my son took a picture of!! Did you find the chameleon? lol
And this space was also newly created.
Mini movie theater~~~ Moana was showing, so I went to the pharmacy to get some cash
My son also watched a movie here~~ haha
This cold is really bad...
Now my cough has lessened and that's fortunate, but when my cough is too bad and my chest hurts,
I was so worried that the pneumonia in children from China might be getting worse...
Of course, when I had a fever, I was worried that maybe it was because it was in the early stages, even though the flu and coronavirus tests were negative.
I'm so grateful that there's a large pediatric clinic like this, on par with a general hospital, in the city I live in.
After all, various tests are possible, and in urgent cases, you can go to the emergency room...
I'll go this Friday to get my condition checked and get another prescription, and I'll say goodbye to my cold.
And I hope our 7-year-old second child gets through it well....
Here, I introduced you to Sejong City Welkids Pediatrics.
