Is traditional Korean medicine effective for treating a herniated disc in the lower back?
Two years ago, I suddenly experienced severe pain and couldn't move, so I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my lower back. I was hospitalized for a week and have been undergoing consistent physical therapy for two months, and now I can only perform very simple daily activities without overexertion.
I only move enough to avoid straining my back when doing household chores, and I avoid any activities that put stress on my back such as lifting or carrying heavy objects. I manage to get through the day by walking for about an hour each day.
There is also depression caused by this.
So I wonder if traditional Korean medicine treatment is helpful, and I want to visit a Korean medicine clinic for treatment. Is there anyone who has experienced traditional Korean medicine treatment or can offer some advice?
