Do my tiny blood vessels burst frequently? Could it be due to high blood pressure?
My family member has been occasionally experiencing broken tiny blood vessels in their eyes, making them look red for the past few weeks.
When I went to the ophthalmologist, they said there were no other issues and mentioned that it can happen occasionally.
They are only administering artificial tears because no special eye drops have been prescribed.
Since it's winter, there's no need to overexert yourself, but on days when you do things like making kimchi or cleaning and push yourself a little, the small blood vessels in your eyes burst, causing your eyes to stay bloodshot for a few days.
You are taking medication because of high blood pressure, but is it possible for high blood pressure to cause small blood vessels in the eyes to burst?
It seems to be related, considering it happens after exerting effort.
