My health check results came back high, but I am not taking any medication. I am making every effort to maintain it, including regular exercise and avoiding bread, flour-based foods that I used to enjoy. I didn't eat shaved ice or ice cream at all during the summer. Still, my levels are not easily controlled, and if I let my guard down even a little, I experience spikes that are quite alarming. It seems that everyone's reactions are different and not the same for everyone. I find that eating boiled sweet potatoes, peanut butter, and lean meat is okay, but when my levels rise, they tend to go up quite a bit. I am trying to understand my body's unique responses. It is really difficult.
