Blood pressure rises whenever I visit the hospital. Should I take blood pressure medication?

Usually, when I check my blood pressure at home, it is around 120/80 to 125/85.
However, when I go for a health checkup or visit the hospital and measure my blood pressure, it’s around 145/90. After sitting for a while and measuring again...
It's a little lower, but still a bit high.
I'd rather keep it high and take medication, but since it usually reads normal, I can't decide.
I'm worried that if I suddenly get upset after not taking my medication, something might happen.
Is it good to take blood pressure medication?
