Like other hospitals, but especially in obstetrics and gynecology, I think people tend not to go for regular check-ups unless there is an issue.

This time, I went to the gynecology clinic because I was experiencing itching symptoms.

I went to the gynecology department for a comprehensive check-up every year, and it was my first time visiting a local obstetrics and gynecology clinic.

The neighborhood hospital I will introduce is SuSan Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in Gwanpyeong-dong, where there is a kind female doctor.

When it's your first visit, you should fill out the record sheet and talk about the reason for coming to the obstetrics and gynecology department.

The nurse was also kind, and when I asked about my questions, she explained everything in detail and thoroughly, which I appreciated.

 

 

If you have any questions or concerns before entering the consultation room, you can ask the nurse before meeting the doctor. The nurse will guide you in this private space.

The person in front of me asked because they had more questions, and I saw them go into the space and fill out a paper like a survey, and also talk with the nurse. Especially in the gynecology department, it can be a bit embarrassing to ask questions in such an open space, but I think having this kind of space is really good.

 

 

I went to the gynecology department because I had itching and occasional burning sensations. After writing the reason for my visit on the examination form and entering the consultation room, I just need to change into the open-front skirt patient gown.

When you undergo the test, the technician will inform you that the machine may be cold. Please kindly explain your current situation.

I don't have any particular reason, but since it's one of the diseases that women can easily get from mold fungi, I was given a medication prescription.

 

There is a changing room with a curtain inside the consultation room, making it easy to change clothes, and there are wet tissues available, so you can clean up all at once, which was very convenient.

Above all, since she's a female doctor, I feel more comfortable and less burdened.

 

While visiting the obstetrics and gynecology department, I asked about the cervical cancer prevention vaccine, Gardasil 9, and also decided to get Gardasil 9.

The timing for the Gardasil 9 vaccination is a total of three doses: the second dose should be administered 2 months after the first dose, and the third dose should be given 6 months after the first dose.

 

 

(They also gave me a Seventeen photocard as a promotional item for Gardasil 9^^ There's a calendar on the back, so it would be good to carry around as a notepad^^)

 

I received the first dose of Gardasil 9, and although I have some pain in the arm where I got the shot, only the forearm hurts, and there is no pain that interferes with daily life.

Gardasil 9 provides preventive effects against multiple conditions, including anal cancer, genital warts, cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, and vulvar cancer. The doctor said that it is the most effective vaccine compared to other vaccinations.

It is effective for women under the age of 45, so please consider getting vaccinated as a preventive measure.

Is it okay for men to get vaccinated too? I think it's fine to go with my husband and get the vaccination.

The price range is a bit high, but vaccination costs vary by hospital. At "Su Obstetrics and Gynecology," there is a discount system if you pay all at once, so I paid in one go. Others, when visiting the hospital, should also check the cost range and discount benefits^^

Obstetrics and gynecology is not a place I visit often, but like all hospitals, I think it’s very important to have regular check-ups and vaccinations for prevention rather than only going when there’s a problem.

The female obstetrician and gynecologist is calm and kind, and the nurses are also friendly, so I plan to go for regular check-ups comfortably^^
