I get heartburn and bloating when I eat certain foods... Is this due to reflux gastritis?
This symptom... could it be due to reflux gastritis?
hello.
I'm writing to ask for advice because I've been having recurring digestive issues and pain whenever I eat certain foods.
I was told that I had reflux gastritis during a recent health checkup endoscopy.
Even though I don't usually feel any major symptoms, I feel like my stomach is turning after eating foods like rice cakes, pizza, and corn.
As soon as I eat, I feel bloated and full as if my stomach is blocked, and then I get a sharp, stabbing pain in my stomach area, which is very painful.
Symptoms are especially worse when I eat sticky carbohydrates like rice cakes or corn, or pizza with flour and fatty cheese.
I am concerned that the reflux gastritis symptoms seen in the endoscopy may be due to a particularly sensitive reaction to these specific foods.
I'm acutely aware of the importance of being selective about what I eat, but I'm also struggling with whether I should just give up my favorite foods altogether.
Are there any of you who have been diagnosed with reflux gastritis who, like me, experience severe heartburn and bloating only when eating certain foods?
If you have any tips on how to alleviate symptoms through diet management other than taking medication, please share them.
We look forward to hearing valuable comments from those who have experience in changing their eating habits for better stomach health.
