Hello~^^ It's a bit embarrassing to reveal my occupation here, but I am working as a preschool teacherㅎㅎ
I am still single and do not have children, but as a 11-year veteran childcare teacher, I can confidently say that I have given children more fever reducers than anyone else, haha.
Of course, fever reducers are medications given to children to relieve pain and reduce fever, and the best ones are those that have no side effects for each child and work the fastest, right? Haha
I have been in charge of the mixed class for young children for several years. In our class, there are twin children, and interestingly, the twins often get sick at the same time.ㅠㅠ
Since it was a dual-income family, there were many times when they had to send their children to school even when they were sick. Both children had fluctuating fevers, so they brought fever reducers. Interestingly, they brought different fever reducers~ (The mother wanted to send Ibuprofen, but the child insisted on taking the remaining red Champ, so she sent that instead haha TMI~)
The boy brought a red champion and the girl brought a blue pen, but shortly after arriving at school, both of them developed a fever and looked unwell. We gave each of them their respective fever reducers, and after 30 minutes, the girl who took the blue pen's fever went down faster than the boy who took the red champion! So, the girl was able to play with her friends, but the boy was lying down in the resting area, being wiped with a wet cloth to reduce his fever. Later, after lunch, we persuaded the boy who didn't want to take the blue pen's fever reducer to take it, and after lowering his fever, he only had a slight fever until going home, so he was able to go home comfortably.
So, since I have twins, they are almost the same, but I see a greater effect with Ibuprofen compared to Red Champ, so I tell mothers to ask which fever reducer is better or to recommend and send Ibuprofen to mothers with children who have a fever and are in pain, haha.
Maybe, when I have children in the future and they get a fever, I think I would prepare and give them ibuprofen~!! (Hopefully not a story for the distant future🤣🤣)
Oh, and after giving the children antipyretics at the daycare, I give them water because I feel that drinking water makes the medicine work faster, so I do it habitually haha. I also tried the pediatric antipyretic myself, and it was so sweet that my mouth felt sticky, so I definitely had to drink water haha. (If adults take a large amount of pediatric antipyretics, their fever also goes down 😊😊)
Even adults find it difficult when they have a fever, but when our small children get sick, it’s so heartbreaking. I hope they never get sick and always grow up healthy💕
You know that age and weight are important for children's medication, right? Please make sure to take it according to the prescribed method💕
The daycare center does not keep any medication for ingestion, so I couldn't take a photo and brought it from elsewhere 😉
