6/26(Wednesday) "Daiso did Daiso" Cheap price but 8.6 times higher performance battery

The NeoCell alkaline batteries sold at Daiso were found to have the best longevity relative to their price among major products available on the market. The performance difference was as much as 8.6 times.

According to the Korea Consumer Agency on the 25th, an evaluation of the quality and safety of 14 alkaline battery products circulating in the market found that Daiso's Neoseal alkaline batteries offered the best value for money.

Daiso sells NeoCell alkaline batteries imported from China at 4 for 1,000 won and 10 for 2,000 won, making them relatively inexpensive at 250 won and 200 won each. Duracell Ultra alkaline batteries are the most expensive, priced at 4 for 9,100 won (2,275 won each) and 12 for 16,500 won (1,375 won each).

The Consumer Agency advised that "the recommended usage period for batteries is 5 to 12 years, and the more units in a pack, the cheaper the price per item," and suggested that "it is more economical to purchase multi-pack products at home."

The Consumer Agency added, "Rechargeable batteries can be reused repeatedly and can reduce the amount of waste from discarded batteries, making them economical for households that use a lot of batteries."
