Abdominal bloating refers to the sensation of the stomach feeling swollen and distended due to gas or other factors in the intestines. While some foods can help alleviate symptoms of abdominal bloating, there are also foods that can worsen the condition.

Abdominal bloating can occur when consuming foods that produce more gas than other foods or foods high in salt content, when eating or drinking too quickly, or when drinking carbonated beverages. It can also be caused by health issues such as lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome, or celiac disease.

 

According to the American health and medical media 'Prevention,' certain foods can help alleviate symptoms by reducing inflammation, activating the release of digestive enzymes, and soothing the digestive tract with water and fiber. Nutritionists recommend foods that help relieve abdominal bloating.

Cucumbers are high in potassium. Potassium is an electrolyte that reduces the effects of sodium. Since salty foods increase the risk of abdominal bloating, eating cucumbers after salty potato chips can help restore balance.

 

Ginger has the function of soothing inflammation in the stomach. According to research, ginger alleviates gas, prevents acid reflux, reduces intestinal cramps, and prevents indigestion and bloating.
