Cold sore herpes: Here's how I manage it.

I often get herpes, which is also called cold sores.

It is a disease caused by infection with the herpes virus.

It is also called cold sores because it frequently appears on the lips.

When I get herpes, I keep acyclovir as a standby medication and use it.

 

 

 

 

 

Herpes usually causes blisters on one side of the lips.

If a blister forms once and the surrounding area itches, then it is not an antibiotic ointment.

You need to apply antiviral ointment.

 

Herpes has a 20 to 40 percent chance of recurring once it appears.ㅠㅠ

Herpes virus is said to remain in a person's body for life once infected. Therefore, it would be good to be careful to avoid getting it, but I have already been infected and am managing it as best as I can.

 

 

 

 

Herpes, which has a high recurrence rate, tends to occur more frequently when I feel tired or dry.ㅠㅠ

 

 

These days, herpes recurs again, so I am diligently applying herpes ointment.

When herpes occurs, it is usually treated with acyclovir ointment.

Depending on the severity, visit a dermatologist, internist, or otolaryngologist.

You may receive medication. However, since you are prescribed ointments containing ingredients like acyclovir, I keep acyclovir as a stock medication and apply it.

 

Apply acyclovir herpes ointment every 4 hours.

Since scratching when it itches can cause herpes to spread across the entire lips, I feel the itch but I immediately apply herpes ointment. Also, because it can be transmitted to family members, I try to keep children and my husband away from contact as much as possible.

 

Herpes is simple, but once it occurs, it keeps recurring.

You need to be careful and manage it properly.
