Hospital Introduction

 

This is Maypure Clinic Hwajeong Branch, where I visited to have a hemangioma removed.

This is a dermatology clinic that is popping up in many areas these days.

It's a new dermatology clinic in our area, so it's clean and they had a promotion when they first opened, so I got a good price and visited a few times.

It's easy to find because it's in the heart of the neighborhood, and it's open until quite late at night, so it's great for going after work.

 

This place is a franchise dermatology clinic that mainly focuses on procedures, so a lot of people visit it to get procedures.

Because it is a franchise, I felt that the work manual and internal systems of the dermatology clinic were very well organized.

And everyone in the dermatology department was very friendly.

It's hard to do that in a dermatology department, but I got the impression that customer service was very good.

It's also great that there are private locker rooms, so you don't have to carry your belongings around with you!

I always wondered where I should put my bag when I went to the hospital, but it was really convenient because there was a locker room here.

 

 

Laser treatment

The procedure I had was to remove the hemangioma with a laser.

Hemangioma is a red dot!

I was diagnosed with cherry angioma.

Actually, the hemangioma was not on my face, but on my finger, and it was small, so I didn't pay much attention to it.

I went to get my mole removed and was talking about the mole on my finger.

I decided to just remove the hemangioma on my finger together since they said they use the same laser machine as the skin tag removal machine!

The explanation was very kind, and since it was a simple procedure, it was completed very quickly. The hemangioma wasn't large, so the price wasn't a burden. I understand that the price increases with the number and size of the hemangioma.

 

 

Post-treatment review

-Before hemangioma removal

The red dot was sharp... It's not a scar, it's a dot haha

Wipe the treatment area with an alcohol swab and place your hand on the treatment table.

Then the doctor will come and explain it to you in detail again.

The doctor said it would hurt a little, but it didn't hurt at all.

The procedure was over in the blink of an eye, and it was done quickly because it was just a single laser shot to the hemangioma, not multiple treatments.

It feels like a cold wind laser? It feels like it's shooting.

I put a cold alcohol swab on it to calm it down, waited a few minutes, and then came out.

-After hemangioma removal

After removing it, the scab fell off the next day. I remember being amazed at how quickly my skin regenerated.

 

Later, the scab fell off quickly and the wound faded from red to red-brown.

But after a few weeks, there was still some left, so I wondered if I should get it done again, so I consulted with the doctor.

The doctor said that it had faded a lot and that it might still be faint, but I didn't need to get any additional treatment, so I didn't get a second one.

If it had been an unscrupulous dermatologist, they might have recommended a second or third visit...

So I believed and waited, and after a few months, the wound did go away.

 

 

Current status after the procedure

The scar is gone, but there's still a trace? A mark from where the mole was removed? It was so red... I don't really care and I'm doing well.

Hemangiomas are usually congenital and occur from birth to early childhood, but they can also occur suddenly in adulthood.

Hemangiomas should be removed immediately after they are recognized. As time passes, the roots deepen, making it difficult to lighten if removed late. So, if you have a hemangioma, remove it with a laser right away!
