Carcinogenic mold toxin found in corn snacks...Korea Food and Drug Administration issues recall
They said it's corn snack.
I was startled thinking it was a rice paddy ditch..
We both eat quite often;;;
I have never seen the snack called Little Land Corn Snack before.
I asked the kids just in case, and they said they didn't eat the snackㅠㅠ
I really hope these kinds of things don't come up when eating, seriously ㅠㅠ
The Korea Food and Drug Administration has initiated a recall due to the detection of excessive mold toxins in corn snacks.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on the 13th, fumonisin was detected at levels exceeding the standard in 'Kkomawa Ttang Corn Snack,' manufactured by the food manufacturing and processing company 'Doul Bio Food Agricultural Cooperative' located in Gure, Jeollanam-do, and sold by 'Hansalim Business Union Co., Ltd.' based in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
Fumonisin is a mycotoxin produced by fungi found in corn, wheat, rice, and other grains. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies it as a carcinogen.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the manufacturing date of the product is marked as October 26, 2024. While the mycotoxin fumonisin should not exceed 1mg per kilogram, 4mg was detected in this product.
