After researching various options

I had varicose vein surgery at Spring Day Clinic.

The results were good, and the process was comfortable.

I wasn't that sick either.

One month later, during the regular check-up, we proceeded with the process of cleaning the areas where the blood vessels had burst by injecting medication into those parts that had not been treated before.

 

Pre-surgery

 

<Approximately 1 Month Post-Surgery> After ultrasound examination, the large femoral vein is well treated, and a procedure is performed to eliminate the previously ruptured small blood vessels by injecting medication.

 

 

Since there were so many areas, I carefully checked each part, then entered the operating room to precisely administer injections to those areas, applied Medifoam, and wrapped them with bandages before leaving.

They say you should wear compression stockings for about three more days.

However, after wearing compression stockings for about three days, my back leg felt tight and painful, and I got tired even after walking a little, so I was exhausted over the weekend.

So I called the director, and he said that if the area where the injection was given becomes red, swollen, or itchy, I should come to the hospital. But there are no such symptoms; the pulling sensation is because it's the surgical site, and he said it can't be helped. He also said it will get better after a little while.

I think I should wait. As time passes, it has loosened up a bit and gotten better, but I still feel a slight pulling sensation.

<One week after receiving the additional injection procedure>

Getting varicose vein surgery doesn't mean the veins disappear immediately; instead, you need to receive regular injections as a treatment while undergoing periodic check-ups once a month. In some cases, there may be 4 to 5 additional injection procedures.

The additional injection cost is only about 6,000 won for the medical fee. Certainly, when I went the second time, many of the more severe areas had faded or disappeared.

They say to come in as many as six times for testing and additional treatment.

The doctor explained everything very well and personally performed the additional ultrasound examination to confirm that the surgery site was successful, and kindly explained the care methods as well. Thank you.
