I've been feeling incredibly weak lately due to my weakened immune system. I've been suffering from a cold that started this winter and a relentless stream of illnesses. It's hard to leave work early and take annual leave on the same day, so I went to the hospital during lunch. My nasal congestion was so severe that I couldn't breathe through my nose. I had a headache and a fever that wouldn't go below 37.5 degrees. The nasal endoscopy was so clear that I didn't think they understood the extent of the pain I was experiencing. I told them the headache was bothering me, and they suggested a nasal CT scan. My sinuses were more inflamed than I expected, and I was diagnosed with sinusitis and prescribed medication. I told them I didn't care if the medication was strong, but just asked that it be pain-free and free of headaches. The medication was strong, so I only had to take it twice a day. My symptoms have definitely improved. I believe it's important to get an accurate diagnosis and receive the right treatment.
