Three signs I felt were early symptoms of schizophrenia
Three signs I felt were early symptoms of schizophrenia
I would like to share three experiences that I think are early symptoms of schizophrenia. I hope it can be of some help to those who may be in similar situations.
One day, suddenly, I started hearing a voice calling my name in an empty room. At first, I thought I was just imagining things. However, as the frequency increased, I began to feel scared of the sound. People around me said they couldn't hear anything, but I kept hearing it, which was strange. From that moment, I realized that something was wrong.
The second thing I felt was that my thoughts in my mind kept going nonstop like a constantly running train. These were things I usually pass by without much thought, but in that moment, they kept coming endlessly, increasing my anxiety. For example, during simple conversations, I kept thinking, "Did I make a mistake?" and that thought kept chaining, making me more and more anxious. Repeating this often made me mentally very exhausted.
Finally, I started to feel that people were watching me. As I walk down the street, I feel like everyone passing by, even the characters on TV, are all watching me.
At first, I thought it was just a misunderstanding, but as time went on, that feeling grew stronger. Even when I was alone, I felt as if someone was watching me, which increased my anxiety.
As these three prodromal symptoms of schizophrenia appeared, I wondered, "Is this just due to simple stress?" Eventually, I decided to seek help from a professional. If you also experience similar prodromal symptoms of schizophrenia, don't suffer alone in silence—be sure to ask for help from those around you. Remember, health is not something you can protect alone.
Because the prodromal symptoms of schizophrenia are not severe
If you receive treatment quickly, you'll be fine :)
