A man in his mid-20s who is a working professional.

Since a month ago, I've been feeling very tight somewhere in my chest, and my appetite fluctuates—sometimes I eat too much when I'm hungry, and other times I have no appetite at all.

I experience intense mood swings, and when I drink alcohol, I cry loudly as if mourning, feeling like I just want to die.

Usually, I am fine during daily activities, but suddenly I feel extremely suffocated in my chest, and I can't help but cry.

The amount of smoking and drinking has increased too much.....

Recently, I have been experiencing some personal difficulties. Should I consider it a temporary depression or a true depression that requires consulting a doctor?
And if you receive depression treatment or testing at the psychiatric department, will it be recorded?
