I was worried about melasma, but I saw results from the laser toning treatment.
As I got older, I kept getting melasma on my face, and I was unhappy every time I looked in the mirror. Since the old spots kept spreading sideways, it bothered me every time I applied makeup, so I looked into laser treatments that could alleviate the melasma. I had laser toning treatment at a dermatology clinic near my home, and the results were quite good in removing or lightening the melasma.
I had been covering my melasma with makeup, but it was inconvenient, and I felt like it was spreading, so I decided to get a procedure.
Laser toning is a procedure that lightens or removes facial blemishes, freckles, and pigmentation. There were several treatments available to remove melasma, such as Pico Toning and Clear Toning, but I was recommended Laser Toning because it is effective and is the most frequently used.
After the laser toning procedure, that area turned red and felt very stinging or burning. Since applying too much pressure during the procedure can actually make the melasma darker, I received the treatment several times at a low setting.
After taking good care of my skin following the procedure and checking it, I noticed that while the melasma naturally did not completely disappear due to the laser toning treatment, it definitely felt lighter than before.
Also, thanks to the laser toning treatment, my skin tone became cleaner, brighter, and clearer than before the treatment.
In addition, thanks to the laser toning treatment, my skin feels more refined and the tone looks more even than before, which saves time when applying makeup. Overall, I was satisfied with the results of the laser toning treatment.
I am currently satisfied with the results of the laser toning treatment, but I have heard that melasma will reappear immediately if I do not manage sun protection. Since melasma depends on how it is managed, I plan to pay extra attention to prevent it from recurring in the future.
