I never thought I would be writing a review like this, but I've never been interested in medical procedures in my life and never bothered to look into them.
But recently, I've been feeling older and gaining weight, so my double chin has become so noticeable that I talked to my friends about it, and they all seem to be taking care of it except me.
When I was younger, I only worried about getting botox for my square jaw, but now I'm searching for fat dissolving injections for my double chin, and I feel a bit strangely angry at myself for that... but I ended up going to Gangnam Station.
As I went up to the hospital building, there were a lot of information about lifting and dermatological procedures posted. In fact, the reason I hadn't done it before wasn't because I didn't trust it, but rather because I just found the process of looking for reviews, finding hospitals, and finding discounts annoying.
I checked the reservation and waited, but they called me in just a few minutes, so it was hard to say I waited. The overall atmosphere was spacious and quiet.
The consultation was simple and I was told that facial fat dissolving injections are a relatively quick and simple procedure.
I was told that I only needed to be careful about alcohol, cigarettes, and saunas, and that it would only take 10-20 minutes, including consultation, so I was thinking of getting it done on a weekday morning and going straight to work in the afternoon.
It wasn't a major surgery like facial contouring, but rather an explanation closer to getting an injection and returning to daily life. They said they would send me more precautions via KakaoTalk.
I've heard that since it's a method of reducing double chin volume by breaking down fat cells, you might feel sagging afterwards, but I haven't felt any difference after about ten days.
After waiting in the waiting room, I went straight into the treatment room, and while lying down, they disinfected the injection site and gave me something cold for a moment, but it felt a bit more like anesthesia.
It was just cool
As for the injection… I'm not usually that afraid of needles, so I didn't really know if it was even going in. The doctor kept telling me it might be uncomfortable, but I personally felt almost no pain.
I think the actual injection time was about 5 minutes.
However, I was told that there was a brief swelling sensation as the medication was administered, and that the area under the chin would swell for a while and then subside, and that was indeed true.
Immediately after the procedure, my chin was so swollen that I wondered, “How can I go home in this condition?” But after waiting for a while at the hospital to see how things were going, it gradually went down after about 10 to 15 minutes.
After about 1 to 1.5 hours, there was almost no swelling and almost no pain, and it only felt slightly bruised when pressed.
I didn't feel any pain when I was still, so I ate and went straight to work.
As of the night of the procedure, there was no bruising or bleeding and I felt almost no pain.
As other reviews say, the results are slightly different on the 3rd or 4th day and after a week, so I'm just waiting to see how things go.
After about the third day, it might not be as noticeable in the photo, but I could definitely feel the heaviness under my chin when I lowered my head, and I was already quite satisfied with this part.
Originally, even if I lowered my head a little, I felt like something was stuck under my chin.
There was no significant change in weight in the first week, and I was unable to manage my diet after traveling, but when I gathered my jawline, it was similar to before the procedure.
The difference in volume was noticeable
When viewed from the front, it doesn't look like it's gathered together much, and since it's the first time, it feels more like it's decreased rather than completely disappeared.
Since this is only the first treatment, we may need to wait a little longer to see if there are any changes over a longer period of time, and there will definitely be individual differences.
(I'm thinking about doing it a second time, and I remember being told that it would be possible at 1-2 week intervals.)
