To what extent are traditional Korean medicine diagnostic devices understood...??
My second older sister was crossing the pedestrian crosswalk when she suddenly experienced a calf muscle rupture. She received treatment by alternating between Western and traditional Korean medicine clinics. It all started when she went to a nearby traditional Korean medicine clinic, hoping that acupuncture on her surprised ligament might help her recover. However, her condition didn't improve, so she went to MS Hospital for treatment and received a cast. Even though her bone wasn't broken, she was put in a full cast for about four weeks, which was very uncomfortable. After removing the cast, it was still very painful to use her leg, so she went back to a traditional Korean medicine hospital. They examined her with something similar to ultrasound and said that blood had pooled between her muscles, so it wouldn't heal quickly. They drew out the blood with a syringe-like instrument, which wasn't a bloodletting or cupping therapy, but it seemed like she received some Western treatment as well. I was curious about how well-equipped traditional Korean medicine clinics are these days!
