I am sharing my experience of trying to get Ultherapy cheaply only to end up with sunken cheeks, and then having it doubly ruined with fillers.

As someone who has spent a lot of money on dermatology procedures, I will share my personal experience of a failed attempt.

 

The first one is Ulthera. In my early 30s, I didn't have money, so I got Ulthera at a factory-style dermatology clinic.

 

The result was indentations and hollowness in the cheeks, and marks resembling burn scars.

 

With Ulthera, even if the same device is used, the results can vary completely depending on who performs the procedure, but in factory-style clinics, a paid doctor just lays the patient down, does a sloppy job, and leaves.

 

That was when I painfully realized that the more expensive the procedure, the more important it is to get it done at a place that does it well.

 

Here is a tip for avoiding dermatologists — do not go to places where the doctor does not provide a personal consultation.

 

If the structure is such that the manager handles the consultation and the doctor only performs the procedure, just leave.

 

The doctor needs to know my face best to minimize loss.

 

 

The second mistake was trying to fill the sunken cheeks caused by Ultherapy with cheek fillers.

 

I already had chubby cheeks at the time, and getting cheek fillers on top of that made me look totally puffy. It was a double disaster.

 

Procedures like fillers, where something is injected into the face, cause a continuous heavy sensation due to gravity.

 

If you are concerned about sunken cheeks, I think it is much better to fill them naturally using collagen-inducing methods like Juvelook Volume or Sculptra.

 

I found that getting treatments at a cheap, factory-style dermatology clinic actually ended up costing me more.

 

For expensive procedures, it is much better to get them done once a year at a reputable place :)
