Review of 3rd Nasolabial Fold Volasome Session + Denserty Lifting + What Happens If You Develop Botox Resistance
I had been putting off worrying about my nasolabial folds for a long time because I was afraid that fillers would shift over time and make my face look unnatural. Then I was recommended something called Volasome.
It works by inducing collagen production, similar to Juvelook Volume or Ultracol, to naturally plump up the skin. They say that if you get it three or more times, it absorbs like powder and generates your own collagen. I was surprised because it became so bulging after the first session, but it went down the very next day.
After going for the second and third sessions, I could feel my fate naturally filling in. People around me also said that something seemed different, but they didn't realize I had been hit.
The downside is that I got quite a bit of bruising the first time. Since it can cause severe bruising if it hits a blood vessel, I think it depends on the doctor's skill.
Denserty Lifting is a radio frequency treatment similar to Thermage, but since the price is a bit more reasonable, I get it every six months.
It is hot and painful, but bearable without general anesthesia, and I like it because I feel younger immediately after getting it.
Lastly, here is a tip regarding Botox resistance. If you develop resistance by not sticking to the schedule like I did and getting injections whenever you remember, it will cost you a fortune later on.
Make sure to record the date on your calendar and maintain a cycle of at least six months.
And I heard that for body-specific Botox like calves or trapezius muscles, the amount used increases, so it is best to minimize it as much as possible :)
