Why do skin tags form?

What causes skin tags to form?

Recently, I developed a skin tag near my groin, so I bought and am applying Aha cream.

However... it looks similar in the neck as well, so... it's a small size that makes me unsure if it's serious enough to worry about...

Since it hasn't disappeared... I think it's a similar guy.

Why... why does it happen??
