Can women take prostate enlargement medication?
My mother sometimes feels the urge to urinate but cannot pass urine, which has been causing her distress. She wants to urinate, but even after sitting on the toilet for a long time, nothing comes out. We went to the urology department and had several tests done, and she was diagnosed with a neurological issue, so she was prescribed medication. However, when I looked it up at home, I found out it was medication for benign prostatic hyperplasia. My mother said she felt a bit better after taking the medication, but I am a bit puzzled. Can women who do not have a prostate take medication for benign prostatic hyperplasia? Please share any experiences with women who have had symptoms of urinary retention and how they were treated.
It doesn't seem like you have acute bowel obstruction as shown on Naver, but sometimes such symptoms appear.
