[Concern] I told the orthopedic doctor that my knee joint isn't feeling well..
I used to enjoy walking, and I was told that walking a lot could put strain on the joints.
An orthopedic doctor once said that walking is enjoyable.
Eventually, I recommended surgery because it had worsened.
However, I went to a larger general hospital instead of a private orthopedic clinic to get a second examination.
I heard that at large general hospitals, the condition isn't severe enough to require surgery.
So I refrained from walking and didn't do intense exercise.
But I am someone who likes exercise and enjoys walking.
After some time has passed, my knee has gotten better, so these days I am exercising.
I am walking 10,000 steps, doing strength training, and swimming.
I want to focus on upper body strength training, but since it's a group class, I'm also doing lower body exercises.
My concern is that if I do strength training carefully, it won't put too much strain on my knees, right? For weight control.
I think I should do strength training and cardio exercise.. These days, I walk about 10,000 steps and do strength training (2 to 3 times a week).
I swim every day. It shouldn't be putting too much strain on my knees, right?
