You can overcome self-treatment methods for herniated disc!
I want to share my experience of suffering from a herniated disc three years ago and the treatment methods I considered. There are many procedures and treatments, but I found conservative treatment with exercise to be beneficial.
Hello, about three years ago, I started experiencing mild back pain, which eventually became so severe that it interfered with my daily life. I realized how frustrating and difficult it is to treat a herniated disc after going through it myself. First of all, when I have pain, lying down and resting completely is the best. The doctor also said that when experiencing pain, exercise should be avoided and rest is the best course, but since there are limits to resting, I occasionally wore a brace and moved around. Of course, wearing it for a long time isn't ideal, but since I had pain, I think wearing it a little helped.
And you recommended a simple procedure for watchful waiting treatment, but I was too scared, so I continued conservative treatment with exercise. At first, I mainly did walking exercises without pain, and I consciously stretched my back frequently. I also maintained proper posture in daily life and finished with stretching in the evening. Stretching with a gym ball and foam roller helped reduce my back pain.
My lower back has improved a lot now, and I am living my daily life with almost no pain. Consistently exercising, maintaining proper posture, and stretching are the right self-care methods for my herniated disc.
