I started wearing glasses in second grade because my eyesight became very poor.
When I was young, the eyewear industry was less developed than it is now.
The lenses in my glasses were thick and heavy.
I also remember crying because I was worried my mom would scold me for breaking my glasses while playing.
After taking the college entrance exam at 19, I decided to get LASIK surgery.
I truly felt like I was born again.
I couldn't even read the text right in front of me without my glasses..
I could see the writing clearly without glasses, and everything in front of me was very visible.
I spent 20 years comfortably and safely without glasses.
As I enter my 40s, my eyes become quite blurry and I have difficulty reading the text clearly.
When I went to the hospital, they told me that presbyopia had progressed.
No matter how much LASIK is performed, it was said that presbyopia also progresses with age.
They advised me to undergo another examination, have surgery, or wear glasses.
I'm over forty and considering LASIK, LASEK, or SMILE surgery again, but I'm hesitant about it.
Vision does not remain permanent again, and even with reoperation, it is uncertain how much vision will improve.
They said they didn't know.
They said that vision correction surgery is usually done when you're young, and after your 40s, it's difficult to expect good results.
I was very upset, but I accepted reality, and it has been three years since I started wearing glasses.

My eyes get extremely tired just from wearing contact lenses.
It hurts even when I blink, I get tired easily, and my eyes feel dry.
Even though I frequently use artificial tears and manage my eyes, I find the lenses really uncomfortable and painful.
I thought the problem might be with the lenses, so I tried different lenses and even changed the optical shop...
My eyes felt very foreign object sensation, and the eyeballs themselves were sore and extremely tired.
I wear contact lenses for about 9 to 10 hours a day, and even after I get home and take out my lenses, I still wear glasses...
It was really difficult because my eyes hurt a lot and felt tired every time I put in my contact lenses.
Once you are over your 40s, LASIK and lens insertion surgeries are not recommended, and presbyopia is also progressing.
