My personal tips for relieving neck pain from forward head posture 🍯🍯🍯

When I was in high school, I had a bad habit of studying while lying face down. I didn't realize how bad that habit was. That's probably why I developed a forward head posture, commonly known as turtle neck.

 

Throat health is extremely important. Even if I go to a Korean medicine clinic for acupuncture and physical therapy, I also need to change my lifestyle habits, but since I'm an adult, it's hard to change them.

My neck has already become stiff in a straight line.. So I often use the cedar pillow I bought from the Korean medicine clinic.

 

It seems like the elderly are using it, right? I bought it at a Korean medicine clinic 10 years ago for 25,000 won, and I have been using it well ever since.

 

Lying down with a stiff neck along a straight line helps create a curve and makes it more comfortable to lie on your side.

Using the computer and phone a lot can cause neck problems and make your shoulders tense easily. When that happens, lying down with this neck pillow feels so comfortable.

I used to visit the Korean medicine clinic whenever I had a sore throat or shoulder pain, but after using this and doing stretches to relax the neck muscles, it was better than acupuncture.

 

If your throat hurts, your shoulders also become tense.

That stiff shoulder travels up the neck to the head, causing pain. So, you also need to exercise your shoulders a lot.

 

It's a continuous vicious cycle, but as I turned into my 40s, my stiff neck became more fixed, and minimizing the pain is the only way I found.

Use a foam roller to exercise your back and shoulders as well.

It's a hundred or a thousand times better than not doing it~

This shoulder exercise equipment was purchased when my husband was receiving treatment for frozen shoulder in the rehabilitation medicine department, and it is used for shoulder stretching and posture correction.

It helps with exercising.

 

There is no cure for a permanently straight neck.

You have to relax your muscles, change your posture, and make an effort on your own.

 

After doing these exercises frequently, I don't get so stiff that I need to go to the Korean medicine clinic for acupuncture.

 

I usually walk with my arms behind my back, clasping my hands, and I also take many steps to straighten my shoulders and improve my posture.

 

I hope my small exercise may be of some help to you.

 

If you don't have a cervical pillow, rolling up a towel and placing it behind your neck to create a curve can also be helpful.
