This is the second part of that article.
*Chronology
Postmenopausal bleeding since the end of 2021 (Wow)
Since spring 2022, my back has hurt on tiring days.
Severe lower back pain began suddenly from April 6, 2024.
▶Sharp stabbing pain in the upper pelvis and lower back area as if pricked with a needle
Visited the obstetrics and gynecology department on April 8, 2024.
▶Pelvic ultrasound - Confirm approximately 7cm in the left pelvic area
April 15, 2024 - Sclerotherapy procedure
April 12
Decided to undergo sclerotherapy - Called the hospital - Scheduled the procedure for next Monday
April 15 <Endometrial Ablation Procedure Date>
Endometrial cyst alcohol sclerosis procedure
I arrived at the hospital at noon after fasting for over 12 hours, changed clothes, and waited. During the wait, I received an IV and tested whether the antibiotics would work well. Most injections were just a slight prick, but because it hurt, I unintentionally said that it hurt. ;;
I was ready and moved to the procedure room. It was called a procedure, but it felt much more like surgery than I expected. ㅜㅜ
It was just the usual operating room we know, and I lay down on the surgical table that looked similar to a gynecological examination chair.
I was under sedation, but I could still move, and it was very dangerous if I moved, so I was completely tied up. It was a little scary. haha
And the visiting anesthesiologist came and administered anesthesia. Starting from the area where the injection was given, I felt a cool, refreshing sensation and fell asleep.
When I woke up, the procedure was already finished. The nurse showed me syringes filled with blood that had been drawn from my lumpㅋㅋㅋ I was semi-conscious, so I might not remember exactly, but there were four syringes filled with blood. Since the lump was about 7cm, it must have contained a lot of blood, right? ㅎㅎㅎㅎ
Then I moved to the inpatient room and recovered for three hours. The good thing was that I was very hungry because I was fasting, and they provided porridgeㅎㅎ I ate it all up deliciously.
I started having diarrhea the day after I was diagnosed with endometriosis, so from April 9th to the evening of April 14th... I had diarrhea whenever I ate something. I think it was probably due to stress. The fact that I was sick was very stressful for me. But the funny thing is, after the procedure, it just stopped immediately. Haha, I really felt that the mind has a big influence.
Finally, I received a <Lorelindepo injection> in my abdomen and was discharged around 7 PM.
It was a one-month injection that simulated menopause in the body. After one month, I will start taking medication for endometriosis (Bizan Jeong or Dienone Jeong). I will explain the injection experience later.
☑ Endometriosis procedure review
It has been 7 days since I was diagnosed with endometriosis and underwent the procedure. How am I doing? Hahaha. My family was worried that I should go to a bigger hospital, but I was too lazy... Also, it was very painful to maintain this condition. (That's just my personality.) So I didn't look for other options and just went ahead with the sclerotherapy. It's been about two months since then, and I'm writing this review, but I have no regrets so far. I liked that the gynecologist was a woman, and since the hospital I was previously affiliated with had extensive experience with sclerotherapy at a large hospital, I trusted them. The nurses also seemed professional and were very kind. I visited twice after the procedure, and they took very good care of me afterward. I feel I made a good decision.
April 16th <The day after endometrial sclerosis procedure>
I went to work. Aside from a tingling sensation in the area where there was a bump, I was in good condition. However, the problem was the <Lorelindepo injection> ㅜㅜ Is it because it is an injection that puts the body into menopause? Due to menopausal symptoms, I couldn't regulate my body temperature and it was very distressing. Suddenly, my body temperature spiked, I started sweating profusely, then it cooled down quickly, and I felt cold again—everything was chaos. I usually feel cold more often and not much heat, but suddenly feeling so hot that it was hard to endure was mentally very distressing. How I dressed didn't matter. No matter how I dressed, I felt just as hot when I was hot. I couldn't concentrate on my work... ㅜㅜ
April 16th to May 13th
1. I woke up more than 20 times at night due to sudden hot flashes.
I sleep at 11 PM and wake up at 7 AM, so I shouldn't be lacking sleep, but I was extremely tired every morning. Life itself was just exhausting. Because of difficulty regulating my body temperature, I was so overwhelmed that I went to the bathroom during work hours and cried once (it's a secret from my colleagues). ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It's not that I'm sad, but I think I exploded out of frustration because of the heat, not because of sadness ㅋㅋ
I gained 3 kg in just one month.
I used to go to the gym at least 4 to 5 days a week, and I continued exercising since a week after the procedure. For lunch, I ate a balanced menu with vegetables, protein, and carbohydrates, and I ate similarly for dinner. However, I still gained weight... It was really frustrating. I started drinking a protein shake for dinner.
If I have time, I will continue writing next time.
