My sibling and I were born here at Gwak Saeng-ro Obstetrics and Gynecology.

It is a hospital that has been around for a long time, with many skilled doctors, so it is always a busy hospital whenever I go.

 

I gave birth here first, and after finding out I was pregnant with my second child, I started coming here again.

My home is in Icheon, and it takes about an hour to get there from my house.

It is a place where many expectant mothers visit because medical and childbirth costs are affordable and reasonable.

 

I also liked that part, and being able to use a single private room for hospitalization was also very good.

 

This time I visited the hospital and saw that all the sofas and chairs in the lobby had been completely replaced.

So I thought, since it's been a long time, I should replace them one by one.

 

 

Then, last Friday before 6 PM, I received a text message.

Due to issues related to COVID-19 and low birth rates, and worsening management, the hospital cannot perform deliveries or surgeries starting from May 26.

 

What is this?????

 

When I went to the hospital last week, the attending doctor didn't say anything either.

I just came to schedule a regular check-up appointment.

 

It was a very shocking experience.

 

I am expecting to give birth at the end of June.

My due date is only two months away, what should I doㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

I checked the mom cafe and searched, and everyone else was in the same situation as me.

Apparently, they told the pregnant women who are due to give birth in May to inform the staff when they visit the hospital for a check-up.

I'm wondering how other hospitals are doing; even if I transfer, I can't go anywhere.
