(Concern) My menstrual cycle is getting shorter.
My menstrual cycle was irregular and I experienced severe menstrual cramps from my twenties until just before childbirth. In my mid-thirties, after giving birth, my cycle became very regular for several years, which surprised me. My menstrual cramps also significantly decreased.
However, now in my late 30s, four years have passed since I gave birth, and my menstrual cycle has been gradually getting shorter since this year.
It has become shorter, and now there are cases where it happens twice at the beginning and end of the month. Soon after my period ends, I experience ovulation pain and premenstrual syndrome, which interfere with my daily life.
And I'm worried that menopause might come soon.
My menstrual cycle has shortened from around 30 days to 24-25 days after childbirth. Is a shorter menstrual cycle also a problem?
I started my period at a slightly early age (I remember it was in 4th grade). Does this mean there is a higher chance of early menopause? If early menopause is likely, are there any ways to prevent it?
Every time I have my period, I go through a continuous cycle of worries and concerns. While seeing a doctor should be the first step, I also want to hear stories from people who have had similar experiences, so I am writing this post.
