(Question) What kind of medicine is good to take for the early stages of a cold?

I'm wondering if my body was surprised by the sudden cold weather, but my rhinitis symptoms have gotten worse, I feel a bit chilly, and my muscles are aching. I think it's the beginning of a cold. I think it's the early stages of a cold, but I'm wondering if it's a good idea to take medicine at this time. But I don't think it's worth going to the hospital.
