Are everyone receiving their national health check-ups well?

 

I have mentioned this once before on Cashdoc, but I had no early symptoms at all. I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer during the 2022 national health screening and underwent surgery.

 

I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I hadn't received my health checkup on time, if I had been contacted by the hospital as a second screening candidate, and if I hadn't quickly made an appointment and hurried to the hospital.

 

Maybe I was too complacent, thinking I would never have cancer, so I proceeded at a place where I could get tested quickly and have surgery immediately. If I had scrutinized this and that, I probably would have received treatment much later and had surgery much later.

 

If that was the case, if that was the case...???

 

I am someone who feels more acutely than anyone else the importance of health checkups after cancer surgery.

 

Which hospital do you use as a reference for your health check-up?

 

It seems that people around me prefer places that do things quickly even if they do them roughly. Not everyone is like that, though...

 

But really good hospitals are too difficult to get an appointment with...

 

So I mainly get health check-ups at places where appointments don't get too crowded and the schedule is reasonable.

 

If I had gone to a hospital that was so careless during the 2022 check-up, I probably wouldn't have been eligible for the second screening.

 

This year, I planned to undergo a colonoscopy for the first time in my life.

 

The hospital I always go to said that all colonoscopy appointments for January 2024 are already fully booked. Wow, wow, wow...

 

Since doing a colonoscopy separately seemed too cumbersome, I always get information from the "Local Mom Cafe," which has a lot of information about which health checkup hospitals are good.

Health check-ups, especially colonoscopy, require a good explanation, and the person explaining the endoscopy is very kind.

Colonoscopy requires strict dietary management, to the point where they even call to confirm on the day.

 

And they carefully performed the most important tests as well. The colonoscopy involved removing one polyp. The stomach was also examined due to suspicion of Helicobacter pylori infection.

 

This is the hospital where I received the most detailed and thorough explanation among all the health checkups I've had in my lifetime.

 

If I had to say something a bit disappointing, it would be that the changing room is too small and that it's located exactly halfway between two subway stations, making it a bit inconvenient... but I can't really say it's a major disappointment.

 

As I mentioned earlier, since it's the first anniversary of the opening, we've been holding events continuously since February.

I also scheduled the upper and colon exams with sedation. By the way, I don't recommend very expensive colonoscopy preparation medications either.
