I used to get my health checkups only at large hospital health screening centers. However, even if I go early in the morning, I end up leaving in the late afternoon. There are many people, it takes a long time to receive treatment, and even if I only get the basic checkup without additional tests, I get exhausted.

So! There is a hospital I found about three years ago.

It's a general internal medicine clinic. I initially went with the thought of just doing a simple check-up, but I was really impressed. The nurses at the reception were very kind, which made me feel good. I went at my usual check-up time, registered, and waited, but I thought I would wait after registering, yet I was taken in immediately for a consultation with the doctor.

She was a female director, and even though she was wearing a mask, she had a kind expression, spoke gently, maintained good eye contact, and smiled. During the consultation, since it was her first visit, she recommended additional tests and explained what they entailed. She also mentioned that if I told her it would be covered by insurance, she would handle the billing herself.

I was more impressed with the director's attitude, and the nurses in the examination room were all very kind as well. Throughout the examination, they explained everything in detail, and for the radiography, I had to go upstairs to Yoon Jong-ju Orthopedics for the imaging and then come back down. That was a bit surprising. I think the two hospitals are connected somehow. I had a smooth examination like that, and now all I need is a blood test, but since my veins are thin and narrow, drawing blood is very difficult for me. In the past, when I was at a large health screening center, my veins were not visible, and I had to be pricked four times with a needle, which was very painful. The bruising and swelling lasted for three weeks...

So I was really nervous, but I was surprised that it didn't hurt at all. It was the first time I had ever experienced such a painless blood draw. Before the blood draw, I was nervous, but they told me not to worry and even joked around to help me relax. They were truly the best! Haha

It only took exactly 15 minutes to consult with the director and get the examination. At a large screening center, it usually takes half a day, and moreover, the nurses there are not friendly, there are many people, and it’s noisy... They even had trouble finding my veins and drew blood painfully...ㅠ

Since welcoming this new world, I go to this place for health checkups every year. It has a quiet and clean atmosphere, and the staff are even friendly. Last year, I recommended it to my colleagues I work with, and they all got their checkups at Jo Hyun-jung Internal Medicine as well. My colleagues found the staff to be very friendly and were satisfied enough to get additional treatments. I was proud that everyone was satisfied! Of course, I plan to have my health checkup at Jo Hyun-jung Internal Medicine again this year!!
