◇Carbohydrates

Refined carbohydrates such as bread and noodles have a high glycemic index, making them easy to cause obesity. When consuming foods with a high glycemic index, blood sugar levels suddenly spike, prompting a rapid release of insulin to regulate it. As a result, blood sugar levels quickly decrease, leading to renewed appetite and potentially overeating. The insulin secreted in the body stores the elevated blood sugar as fat in adipose tissue, leading to obesity.

However!!!!

Because there is not enough carbohydrate, which is used as the body's energy source. Additionally, if we consume less carbohydrate than needed, our body uses more protein. When protein is depleted, muscle function weakens, making us feel lethargic. Therefore, it is recommended to consume 45-55% of daily caloric intake from unrefined carbohydrates.

 

Carbonated soft drinks

Most carbonated drinks add simple sugars such as sugar, liquid glucose, and glucose during the manufacturing process. According to the Korea Food and Drug Administration, one can of cola contains an average of 27 grams of sugar, equivalent to seven sugar cubes. This exceeds half of the 50 grams of daily sugar intake limit set by the WHO. In other words, habitually enjoying carbonated beverages causes our bodies to absorb more sugar than necessary. During this process, excessive insulin secretion damages the pancreas and increases the risk of developing diabetes.

 

◇Fried foods

Fried foods often contain a lot of sodium. Eating foods high in sodium can cause your stomach to bloat.

The oil used for frying has a high calorie content and contains large amounts of saturated fats and trans fats. These fats can cause obesity and make the blood sticky. Therefore, for health reasons, it is advisable not to consume fried foods excessively.
