Cause of fainting - reason for undergoing echocardiography
I get a health check-up every year.
There was a time when I suddenly felt chest tightness for no reason, my consciousness became blurry, and I fainted.
I don't usually experience these symptoms, but I think I used to feel them often back then.
I stopped working because I felt dizzy and fainted several times.
Once, I felt like I was going to faint while driving, so I quickly pulled over to the shoulder.
I also had experiences of taking a break.
I was also sweating all over my body ㅠㅠ
So no matter how much I am in my 30s and healthy,
It was decided to also include an echocardiogram during the health check-up.
However, I always received the examination results by mail at home.
I received a call.
You need to visit the hospital to hear your check-up results...
It was really frightening.
I visited with my older sister at that time, and we held hands tightly as we listened.
It was about 3 to 4 years ago, so I don't remember the details well.
One of the heart valves is not closing properly, causing blood to flow backward.
They told me to go to the third hospital...........
Yes?????????????????????
They explain while showing the ultrasound together.
If the blood is really 100, only about 70 to 80 of it are released.
It seems to have returned to pericarditis againㅠㅠ
I realized that if blood supply to the whole body is poor, I could have fainted.
So, they quickly gave me a medical examination referral letter and an ultrasound CD to get checked at the tertiary hospital.
At that time, my house was in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu.
I made a medical appointment because Seoul Asan Hospital is nearby.
Since it's my first visit, I didn't know how to make a reservation.
I thought everything could be done if I made a reservation by phone...
I clicked on 'Make a reservation' on the hospital website and left my phone number and symptoms, then I received a call.
You mentioned that I should schedule the professor's outpatient appointment first.
The earliest date is in a month...
At that time, it was during the peak of COVID-19.
Visit on the scheduled date one month later and follow the disinfection procedures.
At that time, guardians could also apply for a visit in advance via QR code, receive a barcode, and enter. They also submitted a medical opinion letter and CD to the administrative office.
Finally, I am meeting the professor!
But it wasn't something I was going to do right away that day, haha.
They said the CD is meaningless too, and that we need to re-examine here...
So I went there that day, just scheduled the test date, and the professor only saw me for about a minute?? Then I just set the date with the nurse in front and leftㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
But I think the test date was also roughly 40 days later.
After about 40 days, we followed the disinfection procedures again and finally
I went to the testing room and had the examination.
After performing ultrasound and basic blood and urine tests, attach a small device to the heart and go home.
They said I need to have a 24-hour monitoring test.
So, after living with the machine attached for 24 hours, the next day again
I visited the hospital and underwent the final exercise test.
I ran on the treadmill while wearing a machine.
I think I repeated walking and running for about 20 minutes.
After over two months of waiting, I finally completed the examination with a relieved heart.
And I meet with the professor and receive the test results.
I heard I can hear about that again in a month lololololol
So another month has passed!!!!!!!!
I went to see the professor one last, final, final, final time!
The test results show some signs of mitral valve regurgitation.
It is not severe enough to interfere with daily life.
A futile yet happy ending where just living is enough.........
I visited the hospital three times over a period of more than three months.
Among them, I have only seen the professor twice.
Even the total time was less than 10 minutesㅠㅠ
I'm really glad that it's not something seriously wrong.
The money and time spent... Oh, this is why it's really difficult to get treatment at a tertiary hospital firsthand.
However, since there was a slight abnormality in my body, I did not go to the hospital.
Rather than constantly stressing and worrying every day without knowing the cause
Hear the correct diagnosis at a proper hospital
I recommend consulting and receiving treatment on how to be more careful in the future.
Since then, about 3 to 4 years have passed.
Living healthily while being cautious when my body feels a little strained!
Sometimes still, when overexerting or feeling unwell
I often feel like I might faint.
At such times, I quickly lie down and take a rest.
The scariest thing is when I start to feel like I might faint while driving, I really break out in cold sweat and my whole body tenses up...ㅠㅠ
If you also experience abnormal symptoms in your body
Don't hesitate; go to a secondary hospital, not quite a tertiary hospital, but about a secondary hospital.
How about receiving medical treatment and consultation?
