View moreKim Myung-ae Dermatology in Seocho-gu, Seoul Recommended as the Best Clinic for Acne Inflammation Injections!
Here are my personal top 3 reviews of dermatology clinics in Gangnam, Seoul, that I found effective for acne inflammation injections. My skin isn't inherently acne-prone, but I am the type who gets really big, hard, pustular pimples every now and then. Like what people commonly call a "giant pimple," it festers inside, hurts to the touch, and doesn't go away easily even after time passes. It was incredibly stressful, especially when those kinds of pimples popped up right before an important appointment or schedule. At first, I tried to manage it at home by applying ointment or spot treatments, but these hard, inflammatory pimples often didn't go away on their own. So, in the end, I ended up getting an anti-inflammatory injection after extraction at a dermatology clinic. After visiting several places, I found that even for the same injection, there was quite a significant difference between hospitals. The prices and treatment methods are all different, so perhaps that's why the effects vary as well! So, based on my personal opinion, I have selected three dermatology clinics in Gangnam that were effective. 3rd Place Gangnam Doctors Dermatology Clinic I had high expectations after seeing the pleasant facilities and neat interior... but it took a little while for the inflammation to completely subside after getting the injection here. I visited because of the acne on my forehead. This is the state before getting hit. This photo shows the patient after receiving an anti-inflammatory injection. It was a bit big, but... the inflammation didn't go down even after getting the injection. Eventually, I visited again for the second time and received an additional injection. It was a bit disappointing that it wasn't dealt with immediately. Since anti-inflammatory injections are not covered by insurance, the cost is a burden even for just one shot, but because I got them twice, the expense turned out to be quite a bit higher than I expected. Also, the doctor squeezed it out directly by hand, and it was quite painful. Of course, since it was done hygienically at the hospital, it is different from handling it at home, but the irritation was so intense that while getting it done, I momentarily wondered, "If it's going to be like this, how is this any different from me squeezing it out at home?" Still, after getting two injections, it subsided cleanly and there was almost no discoloration. There were pros and cons. 2nd Place Gangnam-gu Nine Dermatology Clinic I got an injection for my chin acne here. Fortunately, at Nine Dermatology, my acne subsided after receiving just one anti-inflammatory injection! The recovery speed was relatively fast, and the bulging swelling went down immediately. However, there was one drawback, The inflammation went away quickly, but the discoloration lasted quite a while afterward. It was red right after I got the anti-inflammatory injection, and once it subsided somewhat, the brown discoloration lasted longer than I expected. It was a dermatology clinic with clear pros and cons. The advantage was that inflammation subsided quickly with just one injection, and the recovery speed was also relatively fast, but The downside was that although the discoloration marks have disappeared now, at the time they lasted so long that I was worried they wouldn't go away. The extraction method was the same as at the third-ranked hospital, Doctors, where they manually extracted the tissue, and it was a bit irritating during the process. Still, it was fine for urgently getting rid of inflammation. No. 1 Seocho Kim Myung-ae Dermatology Clinic The place I was most satisfied with was Kim Myung-ae Dermatology! True to its name, this is a dermatology clinic with a board-certified dermatologist with 40 years of experience. It was a hospital that gave off a professional vibe from the outside; although the exterior is old, the interior is clean. Before getting the injection. The size was average, but that chin acne had been there for about a month, and the inside was very hard. First of all, it really subsided quickly after I got the anti-inflammatory injection here. Usually, it takes a day or two to see results, but here, the acne areas flattened out immediately after the injection! And what I was most satisfied with was the extrusion method. At other hospitals, the doctor would squeeze it out by hand, but here, they used a needle to make just a tiny hole to drain the pus. So the extraction itself was barely painful, and since they didn't squeeze it by hand, there was no skin irritation, which I really liked. If you squeeze it with your hands, not only the acne area but also the surrounding skin turns extremely red. Manual extraction involves squeezing until no more pus comes out, which can be irritating, but here, it felt like they cleanly removed only the pus, so my skin was less red after the procedure and recovered quickly!! These are photos I took the day after and the day after getting the injection. Maybe because I didn't squeeze it out manually, it healed completely in just two days👍🏻 And another difference from the two hospitals mentioned above is that there was no separate prescription for oral medication. I was surprised that there was no medication, but the inflammation subsided quickly even without taking any. The size of the acne and the condition of the inflammation were similar to before, but since it healed so fast without needing to take any medicine, I felt that they only provide treatment that is truly necessary. Since it is an injection, the slight discoloration usually lasts for a few days after getting an anti-inflammatory injection, but at Kim Myung-ae Dermatology, the discoloration disappeared quickly, so I was most satisfied. Of course, even at the same hospital, the results of anti-inflammatory injections can vary depending on the condition of the skin on that day, and reactions will differ from person to person. However, based on my personal experience receiving treatments at various places, the recovery speed and satisfaction levels definitely vary from clinic to clinic because the methods used—such as extraction techniques and medication prescriptions—differ. Since anti-inflammatory injections are steroids, it is not good to get them frequently. I prefer a dermatology clinic where I can be completely cured with just one treatment, so I was most satisfied with Kim Myung-ae Dermatology, and in that regard, I ranked it as number one. I hope my review will be of at least some help to those of you who are urgently considering anti-inflammatory injections at a dermatology clinic because of pustular acne!
AA26.05.19Views 2Likes 0 My experience getting Ultherapy at Apgujeong Ever Dermatology! An honest review of satisfaction despite the pain & duration of the results
I received Ultherapy treatment at Ever Dermatology in Apgujeong 6 months ago. To be honest, after seeing reviews about the pain associated with Ultherapy, I considered canceling my appointment several times. I was scared because I saw a lot of reviews saying Ultherapy was very painful, but when I actually got it, it was more bearable than I expected. After receiving Ultherapy at Apgujeong Ever Dermatology, I felt like my facial lines were becoming more defined, so I understood why they are famous for Ultherapy. I hope my honest review will be of great help to those who are having the same concerns as me. Originally, I was concerned about my skin elasticity and jawline. In my early 20s, my face stayed plump no matter how much I stayed up all night drinking, but lately, I feel like my jawline has become blurred and my cheeks have sagged. I was especially stressed because when I took photos, my face looked bigger than before and the fat under my chin stood out more. Every time I looked in the mirror, I felt like my face looked saggy overall, so I started looking into lifting procedures and ended up comparing Shurink, InMode, and Ulthera extensively. But when I looked at the reviews, most people seemed highly satisfied with Ultherapy, so I finally made up my mind to go with it. The problem is, there are so many stories about the pain that I'm getting scared for no reason. I saw so many reviews saying things like "it feels like my bones are aching," "it sounds like a dental drill," or "it feels like my face is being torn apart," so I was nervous until the day before the procedure. I ended up going to Apgujeong Ever Dermatology because an acquaintance recommended it. The very first thing I asked during the consultation was how painful Ultherapy is. The consultation manager explained that while it varies from person to person, the intensity is adjustable and they don't increase it excessively from the start, which reassured me a little. Also, the director explained in detail which areas were starting to sag while looking at my facial contours, which somehow made me trust him even more. Instead of blindly increasing the number of shots, they recommended treatments based on my face shape and focused on the areas that needed it, so I didn't feel like they were pushing it excessively. On the day of the procedure, even though I was waiting with the numbing cream applied, my heart was really pounding. But if it means I'll become prettier, I should just put up with this much! I comforted myself and waited. I was nervous and my hands were sweating for no reason because of the Ultherapy pain, but the staff member kept talking to me to relax and told me it was okay, so I felt a little more at ease. (Aren't you really meticulous? I'm so touched... haha) And finally, the procedure began, but I flinched for a moment when the first shot went in. I had a sharp, stinging pain, like being hit in the bone inside my face, but it wasn't unbearable. Instead, I definitely felt the pain from Ultherapy more strongly along my jawline and below my cheekbones. Especially when passing close to the bone, it felt like a momentary electric shock, but the doctor kept asking if I was okay and proceeded slowly, so it was bearable. Personally, I felt that the pain from Ulthera went in much deeper than from Shurink. But since it felt like it was tightening my skin deep down, I was actually looking forward to the results. The procedure finished faster than I expected. When I looked in the mirror right after it was over, my face was a little red and felt numb, but there was no severe swelling or bruising. And what was surprising was that I immediately felt like my jawline was slightly more defined. (It's not just my imagination~~ I really have gotten prettier~~~) I'll also show you the before and after photos of the Ulthera procedure! Doesn't the jawline look more defined and different? The day after receiving the Ultherapy treatment, I felt a slight throbbing sensation like muscle soreness, but it wasn't severe enough to prevent me from going about my daily life, and I was even able to apply makeup. I started to feel the real change after about two weeks. When taking photos, I felt like my jawline looked more defined than before and my face looked slightly smaller. My sense of satisfaction skyrocketed as I started hearing people around me ask if I had lost weight or why my face looked so refined. (My weight is the same, but my jawline is definitely more defined, so it seems like the diet is having an effect^^) Many people are curious about the duration of the Ulthera results, but personally, I am quite satisfied with them. It has been about 6 months since I received Ultherapy, and while it doesn't feel as dramatic as the first time, I definitely feel that my jawline is sagging less. Especially when taking photos, my facial contours look more defined than before, and the feeling that my skin looks firmer overall still remains. People around me even ask what facial treatment I got, so I feel even more satisfied for no particular reason. Of course, I heard that the duration of Ulthera effects varies from person to person depending on skin condition and lifestyle, but I am satisfied because the effects are still visible even now, six months later. So, I'm thinking of getting treatments again on schedule before my skin loses elasticity any further. Honestly, before the procedure, I think I was really scared because I kept looking up reviews about Ultherapy pain. There is definitely pain from Ulthera itself. However, it wasn't at a level of fear that I couldn't bear, and considering the effect, I was perfectly capable of receiving it again. I think it is a good idea to get a consultation for Ultherapy, especially for those concerned about skin elasticity or wanting to refine their jawline. I plan to get Ultherapy at Apgujeong Ever Dermatology again if I feel my skin losing elasticity in the future. They really did an excellent job with the Ultherapy treatment, and I am extremely satisfied! It was such a satisfying procedure that I felt like the months I spent just worrying about it were a waste of time. If you are concerned about skin elasticity like me, or if you want to smooth out your jawline, I highly recommend Ulthera!
메론잉26.05.19Views 2Likes 0 Apgujeong CNP Dermatology, my #1 hospital visited due to recurring acne troubles, and reviews of the other top 3.
My skin is naturally very sensitive, so I'm the type of person whose acne flares up all over my chin and cheeks whenever I'm even slightly tired or stressed. In particular, small pimples kept popping up and then spread into large, inflammatory acne. Also, the marks lingered for a long time, so it was very stressful that my skin looked bad even with makeup on. For a while, I tried squeezing them out myself at home using an extractor and tried every cosmetic product that was supposed to be good, but it only damaged my skin barrier and made the redness and breakouts worse. So, I decided to get proper dermatological care before it was too late, and I consulted with several places. I’m going to list my top 3 clinics that I was personally satisfied with!! I'll attach the before and after photos too~ It definitely looks better, right?? No. 1 Apgujeong Cha & Park Dermatology Clinic From the moment I first went for a consultation, this place felt different from other hospitals. Usually, when you go to a dermatology clinic, there were places that would immediately recommend lasers or start talking about treatments. I liked that they asked me in detail about my lifestyle habits and skin concerns. After examining my skin condition, they explained why I repeatedly get breakouts on my chin. I trusted the explanation that my skin barrier seemed to have become sensitive due to my squeezing habit because it was absolutely true. I felt reassured because they adjusted the intensity considering my sensitive skin and kept checking periodically to see if I was uncomfortable during the laser and extraction treatments. My biggest worries were the pain from the extraction and my face breaking out after the procedure. It was more bearable than I expected, and thanks to the thorough soothing care, the redness subsided quickly. After visiting consistently a few times, the frequency of cystic acne breakouts decreased, and I felt like my skin texture itself became smoother. Seeing the red marks that couldn't even be covered with makeup gradually fading, I thought I should have gotten treatment sooner. The biggest factor was that the staff explained the after-treatment precautions and how to care for my skin at home in detail, so I stopped trying to fix things on my own!! 2nd Place Gangnam Oracle Dermatology Overall, the facilities here were very clean, and there was a wide variety of lasers. I liked that they gave personalized recommendations based on my skin condition, and the blemish-soothing effect wasn't bad either. I especially felt my skin texture improving quickly, but it was a bit difficult to book an appointment, and there were times when the wait was long. The consultation itself was friendly, but I remember feeling a bit disappointed because it felt a little faster compared to the top-ranked hospital. 3rd Place Tox & Fill Clinic It felt like a good place to receive consistent care at a relatively affordable price. The extraction process was quite clean, and it was effective for inflammatory acne. I definitely felt that major skin troubles were decreasing as I managed it along with the prescribed medication. I felt that the detailed explanation regarding the skin type itself was a bit lacking. Still, I would like to recommend this as a good hospital for students or those just starting out in their careers to begin managing their health! Personally, the reason I chose CNP Dermatology as number one is that it doesn't feel like they are just performing procedures. It is because I felt the most significant factor was that it took care of my skin itself! Acne-prone skin isn't something that ends immediately with just one treatment. I needed to consider lifestyle habits and the skin barrier as well, and I trusted you because you explained those aspects as well. In the past, I used to get stressed every time I looked in the mirror, and I felt self-conscious about meeting people because of my skin. I'm most satisfied now that my makeup applies much better and I have fewer days feeling down because of my skin haha. For those of you who, like me, struggle with acne, I really hope you read my post and find it helpful.
메론잉26.05.19Views 13Likes 0 The reason I chose Kim Gun Hong Dermatology as my top choice[2]
I visited several clinics due to concerns about laser treatments for melasma and blemishes, but Kim Gun Hong Dermatology was my top choice. I was most satisfied with the thorough consultation and the customized laser treatment tailored to my skin condition, and I could definitely feel the difference because the explanation for aftercare was also systematic. However, some of the nurses in the administrative office were unfriendly. The nurse who appeared to be the team leader was very kind. It is a shame that the director speaks informally during treatment, but I am satisfied because you prescribed the medicine well!

Will taking collagen supplements replenish collagen in the skin? Unfortunately It is much better to go to a dermatologist with that money. " Dermatologists all agree on one thing: collagen does not go to the skin just because you eat it. Then, what is the truly effective method? When collagen decreases, the dermis thins, loses elasticity, and develops wrinkles and sagging. This is the core cause of aging. 💡 Why is ingestible collagen useless? Collagen is completely broken down into amino acids in the small intestine. The likelihood of the decomposed components being reassembled into skin collagen is very low. 캐시닥 운영진26.03.18Views 1212Likes 3 Can I Lighten My Pigmentation Without Going to a Dermatologist? - Skincare Routine Summary[5]
Pigmentation is not simply a matter of “the pigment remains”. Marks left by the skin as it protects itself after damage no see. So the direction of management is not “get rid of it quickly” Creating an environment in which the skin can recover It's close to . Understanding Why Pigmentation Occurs ✔ Definition of pigmentation Pigmentation is a phenomenon in which melanin pigment is deposited through an inflammatory reaction after skin damage. Medically speaking PIH (Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) It is called. The process is relatively simple. Skin damage → inflammatory reaction → melanin pigmentation ✔ Why does melanin occur? Melanin is Defense mechanisms to protect the skin no see. If your skin is chapped or Get burned by a burner or something When you have inflammatory acne The body secretes inflammatory substances, and a process occurs in which white blood cells gather and fight. At this time, melanin gathers to protect the exposed skin and leaves a color. In other words, pigmentation is closer to a “mark of defense” from the body’s perspective. How pigmentation fades ✔ Relationship between scabs and pigments When you get a wound, a scab forms. A scab is a structure in which platelets aggregate to protect the wound area. If the inflammation was deep after the scab fell off, pigmentation may remain in that area. However, as the skin regenerates, the body decides that it no longer needs this pigment and gradually expels it. However, if the damage is deep enough to reach the lower dermis, complete recovery may be difficult and some may remain. ✔ Understanding with an ink metaphor Pigmentation is similar to ink in a tank. Continue pouring clean water to drain the ink. This process is Skin turnover (regeneration cycle) no see. So the key is two things. Stopping inflammation Moisturizing to allow regeneration to occur Basic conditions for home care 1) Reduce inflammation first If inflammation persists, even the best ingredients can cause irritation. Lifestyle habits are the foundation. sleep Eating habits Stress management Daily care accounts for most of the improvement in skin. If the inflammation persists, treatment to reduce the inflammation in a hospital may be necessary. 2) Moisturizing is a must Moisturizing is the environment for skin regeneration. It's similar to how if you don't oil a machine, it won't run smoothly. Drink plenty of water Apply a suitable moisturizer regularly As regeneration occurs, the pigment gradually fades. Ingredients that lower melanin activity It is used on the premise that there is no inflammation. ✔ Vitamin C Helps improve skin circulation when taken in doses of 1,000 mg or more Helps reduce melanin activity when applied In an inflamed state, it can be irritating. ✔ Niacinamide (vitamin B3) Reduced melanin activity Promotes whitening with consistent use It is an ingredient that acts so gently that it can be compared to rice water. ✔ Retinol (vitamin A) promote regeneration Role in reducing the long-term attachment of melanin It should also be used when there is no inflammation. Summary of usage routines Assuming there is no inflammation, use as follows: morning Vitamin C Vitamin B3 dinner Vitamin C Vitamin B3 retinol Although there are concerns about reduced vitamin C activity, it is better than not using it at all. The amount is enough to cover the entire face if the pigment is all over the face. If it is local, it is sufficient to apply it lightly to the affected area. Expected range Damage to the upper dermis → 90% or more improvement potential Shallow inflammation such as acne → It takes time, but most cases are relieved Deep wounds → 20-50% may remain This difference varies depending on the depth of damage. Options other than home care ✔ Laser toning Weak penetration into the dermis Helps relieve pain when repeated 5 to 10 times ✔ Hydroquinone 2% cream Reduced melanin activity Use thinly only in the evening May fade after 2 to 5 months ✔ Tranexamic acid series drugs Helps block melanin production Long-term use is not recommended Please check the manual Whether or not it is parallel depends on the situation. If you are looking into pore or scar treatments, “It’s effective, but isn’t it too painful?”, “Will the recovery period be long?” The same concerns come to mind first. PicoFraxel is a procedure that is often mentioned in these types of concerns. This is because it is a method that induces regeneration by delivering shock wave stimulation into the skin without making a hole in the skin. in other words, It is often chosen for the purpose of reducing the burden of 'strong stimulation = long downtime'. Let's start by summarizing the core principles of PicoFraxel. ✔ What is PicoFraxel? PicoFraxel irradiates the laser in pico units (very short periods of time). This is a treatment method that generates shock waves in the tissues beneath the skin without damaging the skin surface. In this process Engineering phenomena (such as plasma phenomena) occur under the skin. This stimulus is the structure that induces a skin regeneration response. It is commonly called 'Fraxel' It is not an invasive method that creates holes in the skin like the existing Fraxel. This is the biggest difference. 🆚 What is the difference from the existing Fraxel? division Existing Fraxel PicoFraxel Treatment method Create microscopic holes in the skin No damage to the skin surface Stimulus transmission Heat and invasion center shock wave center downtime Relatively Kim relatively short pain Feeling burdened relatively few What are the benefits of PicoFraxel? Why is it said to help you return to normal life quickly? Existing scar and pore treatments Your face may become very red immediately after the procedure. Recovery periods of several days or more were often required. PicoFraxel is Because it does not directly wound the skin There is relatively little redness or scarring after the procedure. It is described as having less of a burden on returning to daily life. PicoFraxel, how is it performed? PicoFraxel is divided into two structures depending on the treatment method. ▪ MLA format The central energy may become stronger Focus is good, but beam uniformity may be relatively poor. ▪ DOE method The beam is relatively evenly distributed Used for stimulation of large areas In actual practice Sometimes these two methods are used in combination. , The approach may vary depending on the condition of the pores and scars. In what cases can this help? ✔ What direction can you expect? Sagging or enlarged pores Overall roughness of skin texture Concerns about pores in the form of light scars PicoFraxel is Stimulates regeneration, not by 'shaving' the skin Because of this It is often mentioned that the skin feels as if the pores are becoming tighter. Why is it especially mentioned for pores around the nose? The nose and navel zone are structurally difficult areas to treat. Injection or tip-tightening procedures have limitations. PicoFraxel is Depth control is possible with laser method sun It is characterized by its relatively easy access to the pores around the nose. Will it be enough for all scars? There is an important point here. There is no treatment that completely improves all scars with minimal pain and downtime. If the scar is deep or large If it has already hardened into an acne scar, Picofraxel alone may not provide enough stimulation. In this case A stronger form of treatment It is also mentioned that a merger approach with other methods may be considered. on the other way, General enlarged pores and initial scarring sensation If so It is concluded that there are many cases where satisfaction is felt with just PicoFraxel. What Makes the Difference: Machines and Techniques ① Differences in the machines used Even if it's the same 'Pico Fraxel' The laser machines, wavelengths, and structures used vary. A similar concept to how electric vehicles have different performances depending on the brand. ② Treatment technique and depth control Just because you shoot energy hard doesn't mean you'll always go deep. In fact, sometimes a deeper reaction occurs with weaker energy. The practitioner's technique, such as adhesion, overlapping, and focus adjustment, affects the results. So before the procedure In what way and to what extent it leaves a mark It is emphasized that it is important to check sufficiently. How will the treatment cycle and number of treatments be guided? Recommended frequency: Usually every 3 to 4 weeks Minimum number of times: usually 5 or more Typical range: 6 to 10 times The extent of pores and scars, And depending on your personal preference for pain and downtime, The number of times is described as an area that can be adjusted. Let me summarize it all at once. 📦 PicoFraxel Summary Inducing regeneration with shock waves without damaging the skin surface A pore and scar approach that reduces pain and downtime. Often chosen especially for mild pore concerns Deep scars may have limitations on their own. Differences in machine, technique, and treatment standards affect the results. The important thing is 'is it the right method for my condition?' It is a choice made after sufficient explanation and confirmation of criteria.
