이 병원이 과잉진료가 많다는 얘기 들었어요. 송천동에 원이비인후과 좋아요. 원장님이 좀 딱딱한듯 하시시만 치료 하나는 짱이에요.
Is Jeonju Samsung ENT clinic really over-treatment?ㅠㅠ
There was no ENT clinic near my house to go to, but Jeonju Samsung ENT Clinic opened, and I have been consistently going there.
When I first visited, I liked it because of the thorough and kind explanations, as well as the necessary examinations to assess the children's condition.
However, today I received a call from the homeroom teacher of the youngest child saying that the child's condition is not good, they are experiencing tinnitus, and vomiting, so I went to the hospital.
They said they had visited the hospital around this time last year with the same symptoms, so I thought it wasn't a serious issue, but suddenly they asked to do a nasal CT and hearing test again.
It seems that the CT scan was taken less than six months ago, and the hearing test was done a year ago. When I asked why, they said that since the children’s conditions can change at any moment, it’s better to have a definitive report.
Do you understand a mother's heart that cannot help but do as she is told?
I kept thinking whether it was really necessary to go through such extensive testing during the eye exam, but there's nothing I can do about it.
However, I was surprised when I heard the test results. They said there was nothing wrong, that the tinnitus was temporary due to fatigue, and that children with severe rhinitis might experience it. They recommended nasal irrigation and asked if the nasal irrigation powder had run out, which made me feel quite uncomfortable.
After finishing my consultation, I paid about 70,000 won. While I appreciate thorough medical care, isn't it excessive to be recommended non-covered tests every time I visit the hospital?
I think I need to find another ENT clinic. It was nice that it was close, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
