(Concern) Which is better for lower back disc pain, Western medical procedures or traditional acupuncture?
Receiving a Western medicine tailbone plastic surgery (injecting high-dose steroids and regenerative fluids through the tailbone) caused side effects, and after 5 years, my condition has actually worsened. I couldn't walk for 3 years and had to lie down. I found out that steroid side effects dry out and weaken tissues such as bones and muscles. I have only received traditional Korean medicine treatment, but there has been no improvement. When I go to Western medicine, they tell me to undergo the procedure again, but I am afraid due to trauma. Is the lumbar procedure safe? Am I someone with a unique constitution that doesn't tolerate steroids? My disc has worsened, leading to scoliosis, and it's serious.
