Family visit review of Techno Yonsei Dermatology Clinic in Gwanpyeong-dong, Daejeon!!
My husband visited Techno Yonsei Dermatology Clinic in Gwanpyeong-dong, Daejeon a month ago due to a peach allergy.
My husband originally has a peach allergy, but he is allergic to the skin of the peach. He doesn't get allergic when he peels and eats the peach, but he ate a lot of peaches a month ago, and I don't know if it's because he ate a little bit of the skin, but he had an allergic reaction and went to the Yonsei Dermatology Clinic.
My husband's allergic reaction started out as a tingling sensation, but when I looked at his body, I noticed hives. As time passed, the hives grew larger and turned red.
The next day, I went to the dermatologist and the doctor prescribed me some oral and topical medications for food allergies. He prescribed me an antihistamine and a topical steroid for allergies.
They prescribed me some medicine and told me to come back to the hospital if my symptoms didn't improve.
Fortunately, I took the oral and topical medications together and the allergic hives subsided a little the next day.
And now my son goes to Yonsei Dermatology Clinic for acne treatment.
I had my acne extracted at another dermatologist's office, and the acne that needed to be extracted has subsided a lot, so I moved to a different dermatologist's office to get a prescription for acne medication.
Yonsei Dermatology Clinic only performs acne extraction when absolutely necessary and prioritizes oral and topical medications for treatment.
I went to a few dermatologists near my neighborhood, and even though the symptoms were the same, each dermatologist had a different treatment method.
My son's pustular acne has decreased a lot, but because he is going through puberty, he still gets whiteheads and pustular acne from time to time, so he regularly goes to the dermatologist and gets prescribed medication.
Since I don't have many pustular acne these days, I was told to apply acne medication to my face every day and take oral medication only when I have a lot of pustular acne.
There are several dermatology clinics, but the reason my family goes to Yonsei Dermatology is because I think the doctor doesn't overtreat. My husband had severe allergies, so he got a steroid shot and his symptoms improved right away. So I asked if I should get a steroid injection, and the doctor said that since my symptoms are not severe now, I should just take topical and oral medication and see if the symptoms improve.
My son also said that while some dermatologists recommend extraction first, Yonsei Dermatology recommends trying oral and topical medications first, and only recommends extraction for truly necessary acne. The cost of acne extraction and peeling is not cheap.
The doctor said that extracting acne does not completely cure acne, and that it is expensive and time-consuming, so he only extracts acne in areas that are absolutely necessary and cannot be cured with prescription medication or topical medication. And they gave me a generous prescription for acne medication and told me to visit the hospital when I needed it. They also told me to apply the medication consistently.
It can be a hassle to make an appointment and go to the hospital frequently, but it's convenient because they give you plenty of time to write a prescription.
At Techno Yonsei Dermatology Clinic, one specialist and 3-4 nurses work together at the reception and payment area, so the process is quick and convenient.
So, if there is something that our family needs to go to the dermatologist, I started going to Yonsei Dermatology Clinic because they only treated necessary conditions without overtreating.
