It seems that the national certification system for pet trainers is changing.

August 24 National Certified Pet Behavior Instructor Level 1 Written Exam

 

First, a nationally certified qualification has been issued in a situation where there are as many as 58 private certifications related to pet training and behavior management.

 

The government certifies national-level pet behavior instructor qualifications as Level 1 and Level 2.

 

This year is the first year of implementation, so I decided to take only the Level 2 exam.

 

Level 2 exam is for adults aged 18 and above.

 

Cases of violating the Animal Protection Act or suffering from mental illness

 

Anyone can take the exam if it is not otherwise restricted.

 

The qualification exam consists of a written test (Part 1) and a practical test (Part 2).

 

The written exam includes pet training, guardian education, counseling, and more.

It consists of five subjects.

 

If you pass the written exam, you will take the practical exam between October and November.

The practical exam requires performing 10 items, including sitting and lying down with a pet dog that the candidate or their immediate family has raised for more than 6 months, coming when called, and waiting for 3 minutes without a leash.

 

There are no restrictions on the breed or size of the dog that takes the test together.

It seems that private certifications will have no place once government certifications are introduced.

 

You must perform 10 tasks including sitting and lying down with your dog for more than 6 months, coming when called, and waiting for 3 minutes without a leash.
