Saeyan Ophthalmology Clinic in Jongno-gu: Review of accurate diagnosis and treatment for keratitis[14]
This is a review of my treatment for keratitis at Saeyan Ophthalmology. My eyes were bloodshot and had white pus inside, so I just assumed it was conjunctivitis, but I was diagnosed with keratitis. If I hadn't come to the hospital, I would have gone without knowing. It's really good to get an accurate diagnosis. These days, there are so many factory-style ophthalmology clinics, just like plastic surgery clinics, so I feel really fortunate to have a clinic in the neighborhood that is so kind and provides accurate diagnoses. Also, since they perform simple surgeries, it seems like elderly people with mobility issues and young children can easily receive treatment there, as long as it isn't a major operation. I also received treatment for keratitis at Saeyan Ophthalmology and recovered relatively quickly!

I am satisfied with my experience treating keratitis at the Catholic Jeongchungil Eye Clinic in Buk-gu.[5]
I was looking around for other ophthalmologists when I heard this one was great, so I went for the first time! I was worried because it was crowded, but the timing was good, and I didn't have to wait long. I visited because my eyes were itchy and bloodshot due to keratitis, and the entire process from registration to treatment was systematic. The director thoroughly examined my cornea and explained the cause of the inflammation and precautions in detail, which put me at ease. The medication prescription was clear and helpful, and he even gave me detailed instructions on how to apply it. After a few days, the pain and foreign body sensation were significantly improved, which was very satisfying. I felt like this was an ophthalmologist I could trust, especially for a sensitive condition like keratitis.

Seoul Saeyan Eye Clinic Keratitis Treatment Review[7]
Saeyan Eye Clinic is an ophthalmology clinic located on the 3rd floor of Jongno Building near Jonggak Station on Line 1. It's not far from the station, so it's easy to find. It's located on the main street, and the building's exterior is green, so it stands out. The interior of the hospital has a refreshing atmosphere with green interiors. I guess the concept was chosen in green because green is a color that is comfortable for the eyes. It is a local hospital, so it is not a large hospital, but it is not small and is of medium size. It also has an operating room. Seeing that there is an operating room, I guess many people trust this ophthalmology clinic and get surgery there. Clinic hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00 - 19:00 Closed every Wednesday Sat 10:00 - 17:00 (Lunch time 13:00 - 14:00) 1 ophthalmologist This is an ophthalmology clinic that can treat both basic eye diseases and surgeries. On Saturdays, it's open until 5pm. These days, there is no lunch break and the clinic closes at 1 or 2 o'clock, but it is an ophthalmology clinic that is open quite late at 5 o'clock. I mainly received treatment for styes and conjunctivitis at this ophthalmology clinic. I get styes and conjunctivitis really often. One day, I woke up after sleeping for 4 hours, but my eyes were bloodshot because I couldn't sleep. As someone who has suffered from conjunctivitis many times, I didn't go to the hospital at first because it wasn't severely congested and there were only red blood vessels. In fact, mild conjunctivitis may get better naturally over time without taking medication. But the problem is, when I looked in the mirror, I saw something that I couldn't tell if it was pus or fluid collected inside my eyelid. At first I thought it was eye boogers, but after removing them and looking in the mirror a few hours later, I saw that they had grown back. Do you see the red threads and the opaque white color on the lower mucosa? Because of that pus, my eyes felt really dirtyㅠㅠ It felt like there was sand in my eyes. And these puss, thick with tears, flowed out from the front of the eyes and flowed down like greenish or yellowish eye boogers... Aside from the foreign body sensation, the congestion wasn't too bad and it didn't hurt, so I got through the day. Then the next night, my eyes suddenly became much more bloodshot and swollen than the day before. Hives and redness usually get worse at night. So, suddenly, my eyes started getting redder and redder very quickly. My double eyelids were also swollen like sausages. The picture was taken while I was lying down at night, so it's blurry and you can't see the bloodshot eyes, but the whites of my eyes were all red! So then I went to the hospital The director saw it and immediately "It's keratitis." He said he would do it. I thought it was conjunctivitis, but I was surprised when I heard it was keratitis. Keratitis is a disease that causes inflammation in the cornea, the black part of the eye, and has various causes. Somehow the area around the black pupils was red.. They said my eyes were swollen because the skin around my eyes was thin due to inflammation. According to the director, keratitis can be caused by simple dryness, bacterial infection, allergies, or even lack of sleep like I did. In addition, if you have rhinitis, you are more likely to develop eye disease... (I have rhinitis myself) Conjunctivitis is usually very painful, but keratitis was more of a dull ache, like a slight bruise, rather than pain. My symptoms were a heaviness when I closed and opened my eyes, and pus kept forming. Still, thanks to the director's quick diagnosis and kind explanation, I was able to learn a lot about the disease called keratitis. You are very meticulous and your speech is also kind. I believe that kindness is the lifeblood of a hospital, and not only the director but also the administrative staff were all very kind and the best. It is also famous in the neighborhood as a friendly hospital. The hospital prescribed antibiotic eye drops and anti-inflammatory medication. My eyes are still swollen, but after taking the antibiotics, the redness in the whites of my eyes went away right away. As expected from the antibiotics. Haha. And while I was at the ophthalmologist, I was also prescribed artificial tears. I had to put those eye drops in several times a day at set times, and the doctor told me in advance that it might sting because of the inflammation, and it really stung at first. And this is a picture taken the next day. Still, eye diseases can be cured quickly with antibiotics. As expected, after taking the medicine, the whites of my eyes returned to normal as if I had never had any bloodshot eyes, and my swollen eyes returned to their original state. There was a little pus, but it was less than before. It didn't go away all at once, but it gradually decreased as I took the medicine. Now it is 100% recovered and in a very clean condition with no swelling, pus, or congestion! conclusion Symptoms of keratitis! My eyes are bloodshot, White pus is rising, My eyes hurt and feel like they are bruised, If the black border is red There is a high possibility that it is keratitis, so please do not neglect it and go to an ophthalmologist!! Lately, whenever I feel like I haven't slept well, my eyes get dry, so I use artificial tears and wear a steam eye mask. After getting keratitis once, I've become terrified of it, so I've been diligent about taking care of my eye health. I use a steam eye mask like this and it really warms my eyes, which is really nice. I even asked the director if this was really effective, and he said that if you do eye compresses, it removes waste products and warms up your eyes, which increases white blood cell activity and boosts your immunity. In other words, it is said to be good for the eyes!! (Doctor's official) If you don't have an eye patch, you can use a warm towel, so be sure to try an eye compress! These days, there are so many factory-style ophthalmology clinics that are like plastic surgery clinics, so I feel fortunate to have an ophthalmology clinic in my neighborhood that provides such kind and accurate diagnoses. And since they also perform simple surgeries, I think that even elderly people or young children who have difficulty moving can easily receive treatment unless it is a major surgery. Thanks to the prompt diagnosis of keratitis at Saeyan Eye Clinic, I was able to receive proper treatment and recover relatively quickly!
