A healthy man in his 20s went to the hospital due to testicular pain and discovered an unexpected 'this'

Hemangiomas are lumps formed by the clustering of blood vessel tissue. They vary in size and shape depending on the type and can occur anywhere in the body. 60-70% of hemangiomas are found on the face and neck, and they can also develop on the tongue or around the mouth. However, it is rare, but in men, such hemangiomas can also be found in the testes. A case of a benign hemangioma discovered in the testes of a man in his 20s was published in an international journal.

According to medical staff at the Syrian Hama University Hospital, a 24-year-old man was admitted to the urology department complaining of acute testicular pain. The man had no history of drug use or surgery. Examination revealed a 3.5mm hemangioma in his testicle. He immediately underwent testicular incision surgery and was ultimately diagnosed with a benign testicular hemangioma. Malignant hemangiomas are known to distort the shape of the testicle, whereas benign hemangiomas do not alter the testicular contour. He was followed up for six months after surgery, and no hemangioma was observed thereafter.

Vascular capillary hemangiomas are rare testicular tumors whose causes have not yet been identified, and they occur more frequently in children than in adults. According to the journal, 59% of testicular hemangioma cases occur in individuals under 19 years old, and most cases are found in children or adolescents. Only 27% of patients experience symptoms such as testicular discomfort, while the remaining 73% show no specific symptoms.

This case was published in the journal 'Clinical Case Reports'.
