Varicose vein surgery

Is there a possibility of recurrence after varicose vein surgery?

I also have varicose veins, so I am currently using medical compression stockings.

I'm managing the symptoms for now, but I'm looking into surgery.

And is it very dangerous?

I'm worried that a scar from the surgery might remain.
